I mentioned another time my limit in cold weather riding my comfort zone has risin as i've aged. 2funny No big surprise there. :crazy2:Just this past friday i test rode my new D/S choice. Smiley I was out for 25 miles in 103 degrees F heat and sunshine. Embarrassed When i got home i felt like $hit. :roll:And yes i stopped twice for ice water. Cool Yesterday i was out for 154 miles and the highest it got was 94 degrees F. Grin Same gear(mesh jacket short sleeve shirt underneath and jeans and my boots)and i kept the do rag and my shirt soaked with cool water. Cheesy Longest stretch between stops 50-60 miles by which time my wetted down gear had dried out. Sad And after i had parked phatt ghurl i had no cramping or muscle spasms after the ride. coolsmiley Not trying to be tacky but when i urinated it was a very lite yellow and not leaning towards yellow/brown and dark. Angry So high heat pick yer comfort zone frequent hydration stops and if you aint pissing at your stops you ARE NOT getting enough fluids. crazy2 Also every place i stopped was air conditioned. Wink And thats a GOOD thing. Smiley I did not leave my gear on the M/C in the sun. crazy2 I brought it inside with me and let the gear cool off. cooldude Geared up inside and rolled immediately. Cool Gearing up in the air conditioning really seemed to help. coolsmiley In short-stay hydrated-frequent stops-and take advantage of the air conditioning. Lips Sealed Your results may very well be different than mine. 2funny This worked/works for me and i hope it will help someone here. cooldude RIDE SAFE.

My wife and I always do a week long trip on the valk in the summer.  This year we decided that a trip was going to have to wait until next year because she just started a new job.  But, next year we will go our annual trip later in the season.  Maybe late August when it cools off a little.  I find that as I get older I just don't care to ride in this heat.  It drains me too fast.  I have had heat exhaustion a few times and that has affected me.  In these temps I would rather take the Santa Fe and put on the AC.

I ride with a 100 oz Camelback and drink every 10-15 miles. Big gulps, not sipps. Staying hydrated out here is difficult. I've found you can't drink enough at fuel stops to make up for H2O losses.
