Saw a video on Youtube of a guy having a blow-out on an Interstate.
2000 valkyrie interstate rear tire blow out 900lb bike not cool.powered by Aeva

Check out that tank bib.  You can see it instantly when the video starts.  Neatly covers the gas cap to get rid of the glare in the windshield.  Anyone know what kind it is??

These are ones that were no longer made (Heritage Bib) but I know Talisman a vender here has made some similar or better then they were with the gas cap cover.

Iron Horse?  I think.  I have one just like it without the filler cover.

I looked at the Talisman website, and they don't show a bib for the Interstate with a filler cover...only the Standard/Tourer.

Exactly right; I have one of theirs on my I/S, gas cap cover and all. Great quality, great price, and a VRCC vendor. If you talk to him, please ask him to make windshield pouches for us. If enough of us ask we just might get it done!

I changed out my sunglasses to polarized versions and it cut the glare down maybe 80-90%. Just a thought.

I've never seen the glare on my w/s that a lot of people talk about.  Maybe because I have always worn polarized sunglasses?    ???   That's riding either my I/S or Std (with HondaLine w/s).  Glad I don't see it.

I had polarized glasses once but it made me see a rainbow while looking thru my shield. Hated it. I get a glare from the cap but its never bad or long enough to worry about.

I have an over-sized tall clear windshield on my I/S.  I ride in South GA and North Florida where going straight for an hour (or more) is not impossible.  If the sun is in the wrong place, it can put a killer glare on the inside of the shield.

Heritage... they seem to have folded when the economy tanked a few years ago...

I really like mine, don't need it for glare anymore, my shield is much shorter
than OEM now, but the bib is great.

Like Dave sez, Talisman will probably make you one as good or better...

I have a Talisman and added the gas cap cover after the fact and it works well.

Seems he should have checked the rear tire too when he stopped and checked the front.  Glad he got it stopped in the upright position.   Shocked  Hoser

The shield glare can also be stopped by tilting the shield back. I have a tourer with OEM hondaline shield. Put a spacer in the lower mount to tilt the top back. It also reduces buffeting.

Looks like a Heritage, but that pocket is pretty wide? They actually used leather.

I inherited one on my IS that I picked up a few years back. I think mine is actually for a standard tank due to the fit. Otherwise it has been very handy with that nice pocket for easy access, mp3 player, camera, etc.  cooldude

This is mine from Talisman

I love it and that bib pocket is big enough for alot of stuff.
I keep a camera, smokes, lighter, and at 24 oz mtn dew in mine and there is plenty of room for everything with the flap open.

Have had smokes in it and rode through rain, and every thing stayed dry as well. I got mine after i got my huge windshield from clear view, and it has made a wonderful difference with the sun glare.
