The Landmass Between Mobile And New Orleans

« on: June 02, 2009, 03:02:49 PM »

Lost my job this morning so I definitely can't afford it.  If that's not enough, Mom is sick.  She's got emphysema (sp?), more than likely from smoking the last 50 years, and a condition called Minear's Disease.  Apparently it's a disorder of the inner ear and affects her balance.  It also makes her dizzy and sometimes gives her double vision.  Spent this last weekend with her and discovered she doesn't need help once or twice a week.  She needs it everyday.  I'm going to be limiting my rides to those I can complete in a day.

I hit a job fair this afternoon and they said they would call me for an interview Thursday.  The union's national headquarters told me to send them my resume and copies of my certifications and they would see what they can find.  I'm trying to keep a positive attitude and going to the job fair seemed to help.   cooldude  Of course, I'm just a little  uglystupid2.  As several friends told me today, when God closes one door another opens.

It saddens me that hard times have come your way....you're right about one door closing so another can open....anytime your spirit is down, take it for a ride...I hope we can meet up another time...we'll tip one in your behalf.

Highbinder, don't tip one.  Tip a few.  Get me drunk by proxy.   Grin  I'm staying with Mom at the moment, to take care of her.  I'm gonna have to borrow a trailer and take my Valk up there so I can get sanity time in.  Crazyhorse and Normandog, Thanks.
