Enjoyed the vids!   :cooldude:   I just went through the same process on a 98 Valk std that I rescued off the coast of Oregon last fall. Luckily I didn't need to deal with tank rust, but the carbs were as nasty as those cleaned in these vids.

These are probably the best "helps" for Valk owners who want to do their own maintenance that I've seen so far.  Thank you!

  These are great! Thanks for posting.  I'm wondering why the VRCC doesn't have similar videos on every aspect of Valkyrie maintenance posted on Shoptalk.  I think this would be a great addition to the VRCC site and would contribute to helping it happen.

Even thought I've done the carb work several times, watching D-Ray do it was very entertaining.

The carp sync part was very cool 8) 8)

Where's #9? :(  I want to hear some swear words :2funny: :2funny:

Most if not all of the powers-that-be are probably at Inzane by now.  Might want to pm them for a definitive response.  They might need to get the ok from the guy that did the videos first before putting them in the ShopTalk section. 

It is a very good idea though.   :cooldude:

  or maybe it would be possible to get a good videographer to do a similar video of some of the excellent mechanics in VRCC demonstrating routine maintenance and other more involved projects.  I am sure some of you guys have friends who could produce a quality video of your mechanical skills.  i'm surprised that the Tech sessions at Inzane are not recorded.

Here's #9 but no swear words.........he kept them off camera and didn't show much of the reassembly. Just says it's the same as tear down but in reverse.........yeah, right !!!!  :coolsmiley:

Yeah, right for sure!!  I wish my airbox's would magically install themselves like that. :laugh:

By the amount of smoke coming out of the left pipe, that bike sat on it's stand a long time. :o
