I thought someone said the top 9 miles or whatever it was was all paved now.

This was 2011 practice and it sure no lookie like it is paved.

I was out there last week, but was afraid the high altitude would wipe my butt out for me.      We were going to drive up, BUT, I just sent the kids on the cog train.     They enjoyed that more than any drive up there.

RJ, I gotta ask, do those air wings/ spoilers do any good. I always thought they helped at higher speeds.  Roll Eyes Would be funny if a "Mini" had the best time.  crazy2

The road was finished being paved late last summer. These pics are from the 2011 race and yes; the spoilers help a lot. The air is thinner up there so BIG spoilers are used and they're set for max downforce which is a lower speed technique.
