I'm wanting to convert my Tourer bag hinges to the IS type to allow removal of the lid rather than opening upward.  From the parts fiche I'm linking here, can someone tell me which numbers I need to order.  I know #'s 29 and 30 are needed, but I'm unsure of any others. TIA  GJ

The 25 plus all the following to stock teather.
26, 16, 28, 55, 20 & 1

You already have the one cable to hold the lid open, so the cables are so you don't leave your lids behind, unlike the old GW lids, I don't feel these will fly off the bags (I owned and lost a GL1100 lid, own a VT1100T and had the GL1500CF).

On my GL, I bought some thin wire cable, and 2 sets of picture hanging "brackets", those triangle ones, and used them to make lid teathers. A lot cheaper, and they mount on existing points in the bags.

Gear Jammer, PM me your address. I have some of the parts you need from doing the opposite that you are doing. I converted I/S bags to Tourer style opening when I completed my '99 Valkyrie Standard to Tourer upgrade. I don't have all of them but I have some of them.  Wink

The retaining cables on the Interstate bags do work well.

I drove 4 miles to work one night with the left bag open and hanging by the cables!

The lid was still there, and NO scratches.
