I go to the Pubilc Utility DIstrict office drive through on my Valk to pay my electric bill. The young lady behind the winow says, "That '99 is in nice shape!"

So how did she know it was a '99? The tank badge?

If you were at a drive thru window..... and had your bars turned to the right .... maybe she saw it on the steering neck where the vin and year are at?   She didn't say Valk did she?

1999's and older had a different tank badge
1999's and newer had the chromed radiator hose cover...

(I believe those two to be facts, not 100% sure on the years, but think I've got it right.)

So if she REALLLLLY knows Valkyries, the fact that you've got the older tank badge style and the newer radiator hose style narrows it down to only possible to being a 99...

The lady just has good taste.

Also I think it's a well known fact that the black '99s are not only the best looking Valks but the best looking bikes EVER made!!!

Oh yeah, I too own a black '99 Valk.

I was just kidding you know.

Seems the police are always right there if I do anything wrong,

I have found my fighter pilot paranoid mentality in watching everything and mirrors when I ride has the added benefit of seeing the cops before they see me (and quiet pipes).  Two moving violations (only one for speed) in over 40 years of riding..... not that I don't deserve one most every time I ride.  angel
