I am considering selling my Valk. Because of health reasons.  Bike has never been beaten or abused it has never seen alcohol in the fuel.   But I don’t have any idea how much to ask for it, any ideas would be helpful.
This is a 1999 Valkyrie Standard with extras. It has 26,700 miles it has never been in an accident. Woman backed into bike and knocked it over.   It is orange and black and has modified exhaust 36” truck stack.  Bike has Fuel induction and comes with items listed below. Have a couple nicks and scratches. What do you think!!

Champion Sidecar fiberglass saddle bags and comes with second set of bags one damaged.
Two sets of carburetors.
Lift fixture and HF bike lift
Gold Wing trunk not painted and mounting bracket modified for Valk.
TrikeShop fairing  w/wind screen and two additional wind screen 6" 8" 10".
Full gauges and Formation matching clock and thermometer.
Zumo 550 with anti theft bracket with antenna for XM radio.
Two carbon fiber half helmets one never used
Scala Rider Q2 headset
Ultimate lowboy seat with backrest
Original driver and passenger seat and sissy bar
New Metzler ME880
Progressive 412
Rattelbars heel/toe shifter and lowering kit.
All LED bulbs
Cobra driver floor boards
VTX head light
Rear grab bar
Solo bracket
Nelson/Rigg expanding waterproof T-Bag
Front fender guard.
Clamers manual and Honda shop manual
Motion Pro sync. Tool
Box of assorted jets, needles, pilot
Carb. Tools
Container with extra bike parts coils, plug wires, spark plugs and extras.

Remember that 99 was the only year the orange/black was made and there were only 240 of them.  In my humble opinion that adds to the value.  I am not biased just because I have that same color combination (yeah, right!).

Great looking bike. Hard to guess the market in someone else's part of the country. $7995.00?

If I didn'talready have two, I'd be on the phone to you.  I like your bike.   cooldude

My brother has been off them for 25 years, and now is into airplanes and tractors.  He's out in Bellville/Ypsilanti, I am going to send him a link.

I'd ask $8500 and take my time.  Decide the lowest price you can live with, but don't take it right away.

I don't do auctions, but your machine just might drive some competitive bidding.

What are they going for in your area.......and how bad do you want to sell it?

The above advice sounds about right to me.

That said, it would take 10 grand to make me even think about parting with mine.  I know it's not worth that in the market, but I don't care about the market.   Wink

I haven't decided yet if I was going to sell it, just getting an idea for right now. Seeing  if I can straighten the old body out. Knees and back, bicycle riding to strengthen up. We will see shortly.  I also have a Kendon motorcycle lift that might go with it naturally increasing it worth.

I Thank You all for your help and input.

That's a fine looking bike and set up nicely..I'd start at 10K and let them haggle, you might be surprised at what someone will be willing to give you...I'd even try 11 with the lift.

In my neck of the woods it might go for $5500. Look at the HUSTON / DALLAS Craigslist. Smiley
There are always several... just compare and see what are they asking for Standard Valks out there. Wink

Yours is a beautiful bike. I bet she's almost as fast as my BLACK Standard!  tickedoff 2funny 2funny

Dreamaker

You may want to pick up another Valk and modify it to suit your medical condition before you sell your current bike.

I have a 2K I/S that I SuperValked because it was too much bike for me to handle.
I also bought a 98 standard that I was able to lower and lose almost 80 lbs. by removeing everything not needed.

Now I'm building a 97 stripped down bobber Valk. It will make the 98 look like a barge. I will weigh it after I get it on the road. I bet it will be at least 50 lbs. lighter than my 98.

Whatever you choose to do,....Good luck

7 low end, 8 grand high end but depends on area of course, but I'd start out at 8500 and go down from there.  Heck, used HD's our age of bikes are going for 11-12 grand so I see no reason to let go below 8 grand??

Your bike is very nice.  cooldude I hope you can sell her for a fair price and to someone who will care for her well.
I've been tring to sell mine for 6 months or more. Very well maintained and accessorized and spotless clean. I started at $7,900.00 and have reduced significantly three times. I've had adds in cycle Trader, Craigs List and locally. I have not had one single legitimate response. I found the bike I wanted and done exactly how I would want to accessorize it, for a fair price. almost bought it and thought I would sell mine after.
Glad I didn't now, I don't have room anything else and can't give mine away. I accept that I will now keep my Valkyrie and take her to the grave, will her to my nephew. I'm ok with that, I really love my Valkyrie anyway.
Best of luck to you Wink

Great looking bike! But what do you mean that it has "fuel induction"? I thought that was a synonym for fuel injection, and yet it looks like your carburetors are intact.
