These photos will probably not convince the hard core conspiracy theorist....but I thought they were cool.  Its proof enough for me

(however I believed it when I watched in on TV)

They've published a picture of the flag, still in place.  I wondered about it, having to endure the blast of the LEM's rocket motor when the astronauts assended to the command module.

I guess to non believers, any country that would fake an entire space program, wouldn't be beyond doing a little photoshopping to cover it up.

I still think it's cool to have "ole glory" waiting for the next human visitors (if we ever go back).

For anyone interested in space exploration the Mars lander (Curiosity) is going to touch the surface of the red planet August 6th.

Apollo 11 was the first landing,I watched it on tv back in the old days.My uncle went to Fl. to see it take off and got a VIP treatment since he worked for Rocketdyne in so.cal were some of the rocket parts were made.From what I seen in the report the flag that was put there fell over when they blasted off.I guess it was too close.Pretty interestingand its too bad the gubberment dropped the ball and we haven't gone back.Leave it to the chinese

i veighly remember watching it on the old "round" black-n-white TV when i was a little kid.  i was three years old, we were at our aunts house and i remember her telling me that "this was an important time in history".....  i just wanted to go play......

here's an interesting read;

On the first manned landing on the moon, I was 13 years old and at one of the public pools in town.  They broadcast the progress of the landing over the PA system.  Later that evening, I laid on the floor in front of the T.V. to watch them exit the lander and step onto the moons surface.  What made it even more cool was the fact the radios that were used to communicate between the space crafts and to earth, my Mom helped build.  She worked for Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  Most people who fly know Collins radios.
