Out for a ride today looking for rain

We've had a drought here for the past month, trees are dropping leaves to survive, crop yields about 10% of normal. Great weather for riding if you don't like being wet. They were promising some rain today, so the wife and I headed towards the darkest parts of the sky hoping to bring the rain on home with us. Got a little damp but just couldn't get much squeezed out of those clouds. Heart breaking for farmers seeing clouds roll on by when they need the water so badly.

We got 2 inches the other day in about 3 hours. Monsoon in Arizona. Now it wont rain for a week.
It was a Jamacian cowboy who coined that phrase, monsoon.
The skies were all dark and you could see the rain on the horizon, when Big Bill asked when it would rain here. Long Jim , who was a Jamacian Cowboy replied,"Soon Mon, soon".
Dont ask how the Alps got their name. Or Albuquerque either for that matter.

I found it in northern Kansas today,Only had to ride 200 miles round trip to find it
