I looked in Old Tech Archives, that some of you were using the Twinmax for Synchronizing the carbs. If there is, please let me know if I need the 5 mm or 6 mm adapter. ( see bottom of order page ) Related Items. Please give oppinion of using this for the job.
Thank You,
Al Brown

I have a twinmax.  Didn't need either adapter.  You already have what you need on each intake.  I did replace the hose that came with the twinmax with some slightly larger hose to fit better.
Adjustment is real easy.  Just compare each carb to #3.  If I remember correctly, adjust #4 before #2, because they are linked together (#4 affects #2, #2 does not affect #4).
Hope this helps

Thank You BlueValk. I was back in Old Tech Archives, and ran across this from John Schmidt. I am ordering the Twinmax and round up the parts to do as John did. What do you think?

I like the idea of the extra valves for easy switching.  I tried that many years ago for my KZ1300 six cylinder.  The problem was, the plastic aquarium valves started leaking and giving me false readings (maybe due to the fuel fumes).  It was a real headache before I realized the problem.
So, I wouldn't try that again unless I used something gas proof.  I simply use a pair of curved hemostats that make it real easy to put the hoses on and off.  I do stop and start the bike each time (concerned about vacuum on just one side of the twinmax possibly messing with the zero calibration).
The whole process is so quick & easy, it just isn't worth doing it any differently (IMHO).  Whatever you decide to do, I'm sure it will go well.
