Why would anyone shave a cow like that?

5 days till I get to take the big bird across the pond and get the heck out of Africa after a 5 week hitch - Man, I left home on May 7th!  This is my first 5 week hitch and it has been LONG - the time off is gonna be good, but the time here....well, I am ready to come home.  Sorry that I haven't checked in but been busy and internet has been off and on (mainly off).  I sure want to thank everyone that posted pictures of the hoots on Memorial Day!  Tucemcari looked like a blast and all I can say is, "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BROTHER AND SISTER!!"  cooldude  The Q in the woods, the Britman ride and the Pow-Wow in New York ALL LOOKED LIKE A BLAST AND MAJOR HOOTS!!!!  Thank you folks for sharing the ride reports and pictures - kept my sanity over here!  Trust me, when I could, I have been checking the board every day or so.....In all honesty, kind of my sanity meter.....  Gave me the fix to keep my "jonesing" to a minimum.  Wink

Looked like great times this hitch back home and I know the Blue Gray is going to be a BLAST!!!!!!!  Heck, tip a snort for me in Gettysburg!  Sucks they changed my schedule last time in and now am going to miss it....that was going to be my ride of the year......SAFE WINDS TO EVERYONE RIDING OUT THIS WEEKEND - HAVE A BALL!!!!  I know I would!!!!!!!! (I know that is hard to believe)  angel

Anyway, just wanted to stop by and update....Well, I still have my head on my shoulders - so all is well in Angola!  crazy2

Talked to "Red" the other day and it looks like Nutdog has taken my place during this extended hitch.  She played Friz with him and sits back down at the counter bar in the kitchen and about a half hour later hears a noise.  It is Nutdog sitting in MY counter bar stool, just like a human, two back legs over the seat, sitting straight up, with a "chew" being held with his front paws up on the counter bar and looking up at her like, "What?  This is how my Dad sits!"

She said that she would have loved to have her camera but it was back in the bedroom and he would have moved..... Dang, I guess I gotta start getting jealous of a "Nutdog"  - taking my place........

Here in Africa, we had a BBQ to show the field staff appreciation of months of improvement in service quality.  Heck, it only cost my cost center $1400, but it was worth it - I guess....Actually, it was...I had some of my local Angolans come and they had a blast!  Yes, that is an old gas grill that we got from somewhere that doesn't work anymore so we turned it into a charchol pit and no, the cover does not close.....we make due with what we got - ya know.......

The one thing I can say is ...... Food WAS AWESOME FOR ANGOLA - The prawns were really nice!  Best food I have had in a long time here - even the "beef" was good!  But. the prawns were Really Nice - first time here......

Well, when I come in.....is.........

.....Drum Roll Please...........

THE MAGICAL HISTORY TOUR!!!!!!!!!!!

Red has told me to go - JP is going to be packed before I leave the plane....

Spent a month doing research and checking our routes.....

THE MAGICAL HISTORY TOUR RIDE BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!  Grin cooldude Grin cooldude

Billy and Wyatt hit the ROAD AGAIN TOWARDS.........

MAN, LET ME JUST TELL YA - I SURE CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ride report to follow....

Thanks for everyone giving me my fix.....  Hope that Hard6 and I can do the same.....

Later!  Warren

PS - Again, safe winds to all the B-G folks this weekend - sure wish I could have been one of ya!

Oh yeah, how do you put a car up on the sidewalk?

I know in America, we got all kind of fancy lift up on the bed repo jobs, but when they were going to retar our street and told all the cars not to park, so they could get their trucks in.....

Well, I watched from the balcony.....You put a strap trough their rear axle and get a cherry picker to lift it up so there is little weight on the front tires and then you get a bunch of folks to push it onto the sidewalk....  Come to find out - it was one of our cars (not MINE - but another one of our PSL's cars).

We clapped and cheered when they got it done - the leader of the group was an expat and gave us a "thumbs up" when we "congradulated his team" by applause!

MAN, THE RIDE WHEN I GO HOME IS THE "RIDE OF THE YEAR" for JP and I......MAN, I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO READY!!!!!!

THIS IS "THE RIDE"...... for us

Man, we have been emailing daily getting ready for this ONE......

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

(Sorry it is fuzzy, but at night and flash doesn't work well)

I have no doubt if my employer told me I was going to Africa I'd tell him I got your ANGOLA right here as I headed out the door.
