I recently purchased a 2000 Std drivers seat for my 98 Valk Std. I was aware from previous posts that the covering material was a different texture and wouldn't match what was originally on the bike. Well I like the new seat and do see that the older materials have less "grain". My question is if I were to order the passenger seat and the sissy pad for the 2000 Std, would the texture/grain of these new products match the 2000 drivers seat I purchased? Undecided

I also have a 98 Tour and ordered the 2000 driver seat first to see if I liked it.

It WAS much better and I did not like the mismatched vinyl so I ordered the matching 2000 passenger and sissy pad. Now all is well. The 2000 seats are very inexpensive when compared to aftermarket seats and well worth the upgrade.

All three pieces match from the factory on the newer ('00 and later) Valks, so I would think that they pad and passenger pillion would be the same when ordered separately.

Same as NITRO said, they should because the OEM seats on my 2001 Standard all matched (and were different from the pre-2000 seats).  Also note the Part Numbers are different for a 1999 and a 2001

1999 Rear Seat -- 77300-MZ0-760

2001 Rear Seat -- 77300-MZ0-A80

1999 Sissy Bar Pad -- 77400-MZ0-000

2001 Sissy Bar Pad -- 77400-MZ0-A80

Looks like about $112 to buy both the seat and sissy bar pad.

making the change from a pre-2000 rider seat to a 2000 or newer rider seat is worth the effort
way more comfortable, and not too expensive

I have a 98 std and am looking at seats. Where can I order the 2000 OEM and how much$. I like my current seat but it is getting some age hardening.

I did the same conversion to the '00 seat for my '97 standard, and I wasn't at all aware of or bothered by the differences noted by you all. Looks great to my eyes, and well worth the c-note invested in the upgrade.

Appears to be readily available.  Dealer or any online retailer of OEM parts.  Prices at HDL and Ron Ayers should give you an idea of the approximate price.

2001 Main Seat -- 77200-MZ0-A80  $86.25 (HDL) or $85.62 (Ron Ayers)

2001 Rear Seat -- 77300-MZ0-A80  $86.26 (HDL) or $85.63 (Ron Ayers)

2001 Sissy Bar Pad -- 77400-MZ0-A80  $26.12 (HDL) or $25.75 (Ron Ayers)
