Thanks to all who advised me, especially RP#62, after I posted my electrical problems. Cleaned both ends of the battery ground wire, but still had voltage loss at factory fuses. Seems the engine and frame are not grounding well enough. After I ran a new ground wire from the battery ground to the frame, so far things are better. My gauges are more accurate and not floating around and with all acc. on I maintain 14.2 volts, and more than 13 volts at long idle. Time will tell but happy so far!!!  Thanks to all.                    Firefighter  2000 IS

The crimped on connectors at the ends of the battery cables are also included when discussing poor and corroded connections.

They are exposed to the elements and will definitely corrode within the connector.

Glad to hear it ended up being something simple.
