Hey all, I have a 2002 Std. First Prob-Okay was polishing my windheild and took it off the bike. With everything exposed did a good cleaning and chased a short on my fork lights, never found it. Needless to say I did have to remove the headlight to inspect the wires. Slapped it all back together and the neutral indicator is inop. WTF. The bike goes into N but no light. Took it all apart wiggled wires....even tested for voltage at the indicator with the bike at idle in N....nothing. Ideas? Where is the neutral indicator switch located? On a quick look could not find it.

Second Prob- Every time I fill up my tank my fat girl keeps pissing it on the ground. I have treid a few different levels to find the sweet spot for fill. I like to keep it full as temps are mild in Az. I'm still riding. Where do you guys cut the dino juice off at? I hate to leave out too much fuel cause I'm only getting about 125miles in range.

Thx

I have actually punched holes as high as I can get in the filler tube to let air out, so I can get more in than OEM.  I do not have any problem with leaking gas.

Do you drive afterwards, or just take it home a few blocks that way?  If you just park it right away, as it warms up, the gas expands, and will start overflowing.

Owners' manual says to only fill it to the very bottom of the filler tube neck. If it's above the bottom of that tube inside the filler hole, it will leak. I fill mine clear to the top with it standing up straight, but only right before a ride.

Neutral light problem - Are you sure the bulb isn't burnt out?

Fuel leakage - Is there any indications of rust in the fuel tank?  Perhaps the vent tube is rusted thru or cracked some where in the tank.  When it leaks, does it leak out the vent tube?  If you find this is the case, you could plug the vent on the bottom of the tank and buy a vented fill cap.  There was a post with some part numbers recently, try a search.
