Thanks to Jimmy for heading down to Pasadena today with me.

Signed papers for an '03 Standard with Touring bags added.  Bike looked real nice. Should have everything wrapped up Tuesday and have delivery Tues or Wednesday.  So count me up a new family member.  Look forward to getting to know her and meeting up with many of you as time permits.

Here's the sale link for photos.

Congrats John.  She is a good one.  If I didn't have "the wing" I would have bought that one.  It wasn't there 2 weeks ago when I paid them a visit.
Welcome to the asylum......  Lots of good people here in the VRCC.

Congratulations on a nice find. Looks like you won't have to do much to her, with those shiny wheels and bag guards already in place. Enjoy the ride.

Congratulations!  Looks like Jimmy Hayhauler steered you in the right direction! (He's got a habit of doing that.)

If you ever come out west, you've got some VRCC riding buddies who will be more than happy to show you around the Hill Country.  Just post here or send me -- or any of the CenTex-ers -- a personal message through this site...our throttle hands are at the ready for cruisin' the countryside!

Uh oh...crazy thoughts...we must be havin' a cajun invasion here in Texas...there is "Cajunito" out of San Antonio and he rides a real nice Tourer...maybe y'all are related!  (or at least know each other through the cajun "code") ???

Safe winds!

Saw that.  I can avoid most major roads to get to Baytown...so we'll see.  I want to make sure I'm comfortable on her before hitting any major roads.  Got a few years of rust to knock off first to be safe.

If you're not sure you're comfy on her yet, cage it.  We never hold that against anyone!  we value safety first ..........

Welcome aboard from a fellow new member. I've already put 1800 miles on my new (to me) 2002 Standard since November 2. You're going to love it once you get comfortable with it.

Yeah, still a bit nervous about that seating angle but trusting the group that this condition is easily remedied and gotten used to.

Anxiously awaiting delivery this week, tomorrow or Wednesday.

We'd love to have you come by on Thursday.  Get there any way you can.  We'd love to see the newest Valkyrie in the bunch, but we can wait to see it if that's necessary.  Main thing is to meet and greet.  You can ride out next time if you're more comfortable with that.
Tortuga's is right on I-10, at the mall there by Garth Road.  It's just off the eastbound feeder, but accessible from Garth south of I-10.  Now that you've reminded me, I'll call and reserve a table for us.  It'll be under VRCC or my name, Mark Stovall.  We also usually have a crowd outside kicking tires for a little while before 7:30.

Meeting on Thursday? Thought they were on Wednesdays?

They were alternating between Wed and Th, but I think that got too confusing for folks.  We were rotating locations, and then rotating days as well got folks (including me) confused.  Therefore, Thursdays it is.

Good shivers and a BIG smile.   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Rides very smooth, definitely a different sound from what I'm used to but that's ok.  And she's got some giddy up in her step too.
