I'm thinking about purchasing a belly tank, 110 miles to reserve is a little short. So does any one have a recommendation for having it installed? Or is there someone here that has the skills to sliver solder on the tank? (without blowing it up!)

I don't have a problem turning a wrench and following instructions. I just don't have the skill to solder on the tank.

Thanks

I went with a tourtank www.tourtank.com but I'm pretty sure Yoda added a belly tank and can chime in.

Yoda & Six Guns have belly tanks.  I'm not sure where either got their bungs soldered  2funny   but any radiator shop should be able to do the soldering part.

That said, while it doesn't give you another three gallons' range, I'd also be checking into why you're only getting 110 miles to reserve.

Well, I'm averaging about 27mpg. times 4 gallons is 108 miles. I've had several tanks of gas that I only got 21 or 22mpg. I do have a tendency to twist a little hard. but what should I be getting? the bike has cobra 6 into 6 pipes, I don't know what air filter it has, I need to pull the tank an look.

Maybe I should show up to a tech day when the carb sync kit is available. I don't know maybe that would help some.

That looks interesting, how did you mount it? do you have photos?

Thanks
