Steve was taken from us 1 year ago today. Noah went to 4H camp on Monday but asked to come home for the day so we could spend it together (I have a great son) because he didn't want me to be alone. It's been a hard year but I found out I have strenght I didn't know I had and friends that are there for us. We plan on going to the cemetary later today and just spending time together remembering Steve. If I haven't said it enough everyone involved with the VRCC have been unbelievable. You have made us feel welcome and how everyone has adopted Noah has swelled my heart with love for you all. We had a wonderful time in Gettysburg and hope to see everyone again soon.

Rhonda,

You know how much you and Noah mean to us. There just aren't words for what's in my  heart. Just wish I could be with you today. Will think of you constantly today.

Love you!

you kept it together at Steve's funeral while talking about what he meant to you was awesome. I'm pretty sure I could not have done that. Getting to know you and Noah has been a pleasure. Noah is one of those young people that restore my faith in young people. You and Steve have done a great job raising that young man. I'm sure his Dad is proud of him. I hope today will be more of a celebration of Steve's life than a day of mourning his loss. Whatever it may be, I know you and Noah will handle it well.

Been thinking about you and Noah today and sending good thoughts your way.
It was good to see you both in Chambersburg - I enjoyed our talk.
As you know it's one day at a time.

Thoughts and prayers to the 2 of ya.....

Dwell on the good times Rhonda, and don't let Cowbell run too rampart.  He is one good lad......

I don't think my shoulder is going to let me do InZane this year, but, if ya happen to go through Iowa on the way out or back with Brian, please do stop and holler.........  Lunch/Dinner is on me.

I'm worried as to whether I'll make the CBR/HSRI due to not getting adequate sleep.  I did make reservations, just in case I can go.

Don't anyone tell me CPAP either,  that will not help as I wake up in pain......  I get about 1 1/2 to 2 hours of sleep and then up exercising the shoulder so I can go back for another round......... coolsmiley tickedoff 2funny

but I could see that he and you have a fine young man in Noah and you are pretty darn good mom yourself.

I enjoyed our dinner together in Chambersburg and was happy the owner let me move that table so you all could join us and not be alone.

Prayers and good thoughts always going your way from Oss and Bonnie

See you both and BSNicely again in West Virginia real soon I hope.

When Brian called me that night with the news  Sad  it hit me like a Mack truck.
Rhonda I'm very proud to call you and Noah my friends . I only shared the wind with Steve a few miles but I know I'll never forget being a part of his last ride until the day I take mine.

I picked Noah up from 4H camp and we went to the cemetary and hung a Marshall University flag because that was his school and I figured he would like that better than flowers then we had dinner with Brian and his wife. I stayed busy all day but I had my meltdown at 9pm(time of the accident) and Noah and I just sat and talked about his Dad. At 10pm (when he passed) I had a margarita so I can say I've made it thru my first year .Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers. Love each and everyone of you. See ya in Frisco.

Rhonda, you and Noah are in my prayers.  We are going to try and make it through there in the next couple of weeks on the "ride".  You two are amazing people, as was your husband.

Hang tough sister (and little brother)....

You are both in our prayers.
