BJ reminded me that I have a funeral to attend Saturday morning. A lady I worked with for about 15 years died on Tuesday.  Sad She retired about 7 years ago.

We will do this ride at a later date.  Possibly next weekend, the 19th?

LandElephant has become an honorary Texan for the next few years and has just got settled in down South on 288 near Angleton.

Since there is only a 30% chance of rain tomorrow, I am going to take him to see some sights down along the coast.  There is no planned route as of yet.  I only know where the lunch stop will be.....
The Blessing Hotel

We will meet at 9 a.m. at the Buc-ees down at 288 and I35. KSU at 9:30
Come on out and ride with us.  Bring your rain gear so it won't rain.  Smiley

I have no idea where Blessing tx is. I may come down from Spring just to find out.

Land Elephant met me in Montgomery about 1PM and we rode up to Richards and had a nice burgers and fry lunch at Richards Gas/Store/Resturant at the corner of FM1486 and FM149.  We ended up at the Buc-ees in Cypress on 290 about 4PM and split up.  The ride was comfortable and dry.

There are some nice back roads north of 105 between Navasota and Cleveland.

I ended up scouting out some back roads down south.  It never did rain, but the must got pretty heavy at times.  Temp was perfect.  Write my mesh jacket and jeans and had a pretty good ride.

Glad y'all got out for a ride.

It was a nice day yesterday.  Got out went down 2100, saw the ferry was closed, swung over thru Baytown.  Hit a late breakfast at the Waffle House and then caught 146 back up to Dayton then back into town on 1960.  Like Jimmy, just some mist and a bit of fog down near Highland/Baytown.

Yes we finally hooked up to ride. Can't beat 70 plus weather in January. I got in about 300 miles.

For anyone who wants to ride you can pm me. If I'm not working, I'm willing to ride.

OBTW, I'm a Texas resident. I just seem to find work outside of Texas.

John,
How did the Diamond treat your backside? I rode about 100Miles with Land Elephant and enjoyed the day.
The ultimate under me was not noticed as being much diferent than the OEM untill I hit the brakes hard and slid forward. It also is wider in the front and hits your legs when stopped. The wider front adds more area of support when ridding so it may be a good thing.
