Good job!!!!!  the only time I hit reserve at 80 miles was doing 80 mph into a 30mph headwind.... Shocked

I had to fuel at 90 miles once, riding 85 into a blistering headwind on my IS in Saskatchewan.

I ran out at the 80 or 90 mile mark several times. Turned out the trip meter wasn't working properly.
Now when I fill it up I give the trip meter a few extra turns and the problem is gone.

Mario ! 75 has to b a standing record ! S/S I have questioned the accuracy of said tripometer but seemed to match pretty good with the road mileage signs ! Thnks !

I hit reserve once at 66 miles while riding home on the Kansas Turnpike in 2010.  Major headwind plus I had inadvertently tanked up with ethanol at least once in Iowa or Wisconsin.  My fuel mileage had been decreasing for a while after that.  I figure that my fuel valve (the cover set) was about to go and the ethanol took it over the edge.

Anyway, I stayed over in Blackwell, OK that night and put a bunch of fuel additive in the tank.  Rode around town until I could smell the solvent coming out of the exhaust then let it sit over night.  Got me home the next day just fine.

I now travel with a fresh cover set in my saddle bag just in case!
