After reading threads on starter relay issues I checked the terminals on the relay and sure enough there was corrosion on my 99 I/S. Will electrical contact cleaner work to get rid of the corrosion ,then use dielectric grease on the terminals to prevent further corrosion? Thanks.

At the shop, when we encounter a corroded terminal, it is washed/brushed down with Coca Cola.

Then it is washed and dried with plain water.     Then comes the red spray in a rattle can or a gob of wheel bearing grease.

My vehicles have the red spray stuff in da rattle can.
