Just buy the Valkyrie Tourer tail light from HDL. It will cost you about $123.00 to get the whole deal. Good Luck!

I just checked, and there aren't any listed today, but they do pop up on eBay from time to time.

Just ordered the parts from HDL for my full IS w. trunk for extra light in back:

Honda standard/tourer taillight
33701-MZO-67117

RUBBER boot
80122-MZ0-000 001 $5.67

01 COLLAR
17216-HA7-670 002 $3.40

21 RUBBER washer
80219-KCZ-000 002 $2.50

23 BOLT, FLANGE (5X25)
90112-GG2-900 002 $2.50

Maybe the wiring harnesses for the Tourer. (only a few bucks)

http://www.hondaonlineparts.com/  I'm too impatient to try short cuts or wait for a deal to come along.

33701-MZ0-671  tail light assembly
80122-MZ0-000  rubber
32102-MZ0-000  wiring sub-assembly
32103-MZ0-000  wiring sub-assembly

While you are at it, you might just as well order this part for superior lights back there......

http://www.radiantz.com/cart/index1.html?c16.html&1

Click HOnda, it is the 9012-11.    Here is a picture of my bike with the brake light on.  Note the reflection in the tractor seat.

This unit has like 128 LED's in it and it will definetly get your attention...  Bright sunlight or darkness.....

PS::::::    You will need to trim a small piece of the back with a pair of tin snips to make it fit.............   It is just a sliver that needs taken off....  I suppose you could bend it and put it in there.  I trimmed mine and that was 5 or 6 years ago.

Had an LEO pull me over one day, and told me that the light was very attention getting when used........  Told him thanks and went on down the road.

I just finished that project. If you ever finish one.I first bought a tail light off Ebay that was defective & could not use it.I then searched local bike salvage yards with no luck.I ordered a new one from Honda dealer, according to the last post I took one for the team as freight, tax & part was just under $300.00 After all was done I keep seeing SOME Honda shadows that I belive are the same which would make the used search a little more plentiful. If someone knows for sure,if it will or will not innerchange, that would be good info?       Harry

I believe, but am not 100% sure, that a Shadow Sabre tail and turn signal setup is the same as the Valkyrie.

I know you can’t judge a book by the cover, but sitting on the bike they look identical.

The Sabre, Spirit, Aero 1100s all use the same lens as Valk std/tourer, but their light fixture is not a perfect match for the Valk.  I have not seen this but am informed that the setup from the other bikes can me made to work if you are good at that sort of thing, but it is not a drop-in proposition.

If you are looking to save, I think I'd call Pinwall cycle for used valk parts.

My Spirit taillight was nothing like my Valkyrie taillight and will not fit.  The Aero I cannot comment on from experience; I haven't owned one of those, but the pictures I googled up appear that the taillight is similar.  I have a Sabre fender with the taillight on it and it appears to be identical to the one on a Valkyrie std/tourer but I haven't attempted to fit it on.  My .02¢ is the Sabre is a close match, the Aero a maybe, but the Pinwall idea is a good one since they seem to strip at least a one Valk per day (those heathens)

I had never heard of Pinwall, so I was just checking out their ebay store....They do a road test to prove that everything is working before they strip down the bike....what a shame  Undecided

OK, I misspoke on the Spirit.  I know there are 3 or 4 hondas that use the same lens, perhaps the Shadow ACE is the other one.  The point is the same, the lens is identical, but the light mounts are not drop-in to the valk fender cutout.

where can I find a tail light to replace the lights in the trunk?

There's a motorcycle salvage yard about 35 miles down the road from me.  Last one I bought from him he charged me sixty bucks and change for the whole unit off a Tourer.

RJ:
I assume that pic was taken with the brake light on????
How does it look with the running light?
Both extra bright?  Or just brake light extra bright?
Do you replace just the light inside, or do you need to replace the whole assembly?
Thanks.

Yes, that was with the brake light on...

LED regular taillight is about like what the OEM brake light was, and the brake light as you can see is mucho brighter......

Just add the LED to your existing tail light assembly.   You do have to trim a sliver off of the LED light assembly to make it fit flush in the tail light housing.   You could probably bend it to fit, but I always have a pair of tin snips handy and hate to bend something to get it to fit.

I put that puppy in so long ago I have done fur getted how it went in.   Seems like I used the old bulb socket for the LED connection, but don't hold me to that.    I have had it in there for at least 5 years, and probably more like 7.  My wife and youngest daughter found it on the net and they ordered it for Father's Day, and neither one of them can remember what year it was....  I do know the price has almost doubled since they bought mine.....

Thanks John.  It says you have to use your own lens, etc. and that is what I don't have.  The lights are in the trunk on the IS.  Have a lead on a fender, including the tail light

Just thought I would update you volks on LemonDrops latest transformation... I guess this makes her the newbie in the SuperValk club! She will be looking for a solo saddle if anyone has something sitting around? The Corbin is just a loaner. Thanks for the help, David! ~Jeff
