I am wiring up my electronics and looking for the aux power plug. I see in the wiring diagram the 98 CT has a 5 amp aux power outlet. I found what appears to be a switched 12 volt plug near the front of the tank but it has really thin stranded wire like maybe 20 or 24 ga. I don't know if someone added this or if that is the 5 Amp drop shown in the schematic. I am thinking I should run my own line from the fuse to the front 14 or 16 ga and maybe bump up the fuse to 10 amp then. Any suggestions? I will be running a Radio (Shark), GPS (TomTom) and CB (J&M)

The aux plugs are under the right side cover in a rubber cover. If you're running all three devices, I'd use the aux circuit to trigger a relay to pull in power to an added fuse panel. Then separately fuse each device.

Here's a picture of it...

They are bullet connectors.

This pic is from an Interstate so ignore "stereo aux" and the other big connectors, they are for the I/S stuff. The power aux is the same on Standard/Tourers. Under the black rubber cover.
