Scouting Ride....Postponed due to weather...NEW DATES.... March 1-2-3

Don ( Highbinder ) and I plan on hookin' up next friday evening in Corbin, Kentucky to scout the annual June Ride we do every year. I took a ride up that way today with my ridin' bud Greg ( Smooth Rider ) to check on a few motels and I found a good one ( American Owned ) .Anyone needing a winter get-a-way ride is welcome to join us.The motel is located at exit 25 off I-75 in Corbin, Kentucky on Hwy 25W. You will need a room for friday and saturday night........ The address is :

I made a deal with the manger George Sparks for $45.70 tax inclued. If you get there before me just let him know you are with the Valkyrie Scouting Group to get this price.We'll ride in friday evening 2-15 to hang out kickin' tires and supper.Saturday 2-16 we'll do the scouting ride and return to the same motel that evening. Sunday 2-17 we'll head for home.This is a cool motel with a Speedway Market, McDonalds, Dino's Restaurant & Lounge,Fiesta's Mexican Restaurant all pretty much in the same parking lot .It also has a Applebee's within rock throwing distance and a Wendy's across the road. I'm looking forward to this scouting ride we've had a pretty good turn out on these scouting rides in the past. If you can't make this one I hope you join us in June when we have the ride you will love this area of Kentucky and the awesome roads it has to offer for motorcycling....Bring It...LET'S RIDE

I know you'll ride it anyway, jus' watch for that there "mix".
I may still scoot that-a-way Sat. morn if'n y'all aint leavin' out too early.

I just saw that forecast as well ( Sunday ) .... If that's the case this ride is a NO GO . Don and I will keep a eye to the sky and if its still claimin' this by Wednesday the scouting ride will be postponed  

I'm also watching the threat of tornado's coming from the south right now if they hit our power grid here in the Tennessee Valley  I'm not going to make it if the present situation does'nt change they'll have me working

Keith...due to the incoming weather reports we have decided to postpone the scouting ride to next weekend, March 1st, 2nd and 3rd...we'll keep you posted...

Friday is cold with morning rain....No need to rush this scouting ride and not be able to enjoy the great roads this area has to offer...Next weekend March 1-2-3 will be the 3rd weekend we've tried this ride ..... Third times a charm....Hope to see you there

   Gotta fly to San Diego this Sat. ,but will be back in town Wed. Hope to catch enough of a break weather wise to saddle up and make the 6 hour ride to do the scout ride next Friday....I am ready for some wind .

   Looking like low 20's for our low and low 30's for our highs.....Corbin is looking to be about 7-10 degrees warmer....I'll watch you post and see what is going on when I get back from California
