Hard as I tried to get him on a Valkyrie, my oldest friend in taking delivery of a new Street Glide tomorrow morning at Dallas HD in Garland.  We are going to wind our way up to Maxim for some Nitrogen, then it's 455 from 75 to 289/Preston, 289 to Gunter and FM 121 to Tioga for some lunch at Clark's.  Then it's 377 south to Pilot Point, 455 to Celina, south to Frisco for me and eventually Garland for him.  KSU from Dallas HD is a bit uncertain right now, but should be sometime between 10:00 & 11:00.  Anyone else want to go?

How did you find this thread, Tom?  Searching for instructional videos for Break Dancing?

It's actually over 5 1/2 years!  Wow, that was fast...

In fairness, it's been a pretty good bike for him.  Tremendously overpriced, in my opinion, but generally dependable.  He had a couple of warranty repairs.  One for the inner fairing that faded prematurely.  The other for an engine case that was cracked by the stealer while it was in for service.  The only explanation that made sense was that one of the techs rode it off a curb.  That one took a while to get responsibility accepted, parts ordered in, incorrect parts returned, correct parts ordered in and installed...

Since his warranty expired, he's had to have a couple of - are you sitting down? - vibration-related repairs.  Can you believe it?  Have you ever heard of saddlebag hardware vibrating itself into more pieces than originally installed?  Me neither, at least not on a Valkyrie.

Oh, almost forgot.  It also has one of those cute little 140mm rear tires.   Wink   I like to kid him that my front tire is wider than his rear tire!   Evil

I remember that ride, I was behind the Harley and when I arrived home Mary made me wash my Tour Master jacket because it smelled like oil.    coolsmiley
