Does anyone know the "grease retainer plate" part # that backs up the swingarm bearings?  Not showing up on any parts diagrams or lists, yet it needs to be destroyed when changing the bearings.

How did you determine your bearings needed replaced? Did you feel play from side to side our ride issues?

I don't think you can wear them out.At around 50k I took mine out repacked with belray waterproof grease.
I made index marks on the adjuster bolt before I took them apart,and when i was done setting them to spec the index lined right up with oe setting.
Havn't given them another thought since

At 263K mine have never been nor needed replacement and still don't!!  However, I have replaced the  rear wheel bearings a couple of times.

Always wondered if the swing arm bearings could be greased, but never found a zert fitting. BW, is there a maintenance procedure for what you did?

It is covered in the manual. I did it with the Honda tools, it was very easy that way, and
also made it so you could torque it back following the manual's instructions...
