Does anyone know of a adapter to convert the radio on a Honda Interstate to bluetooth?

Hi WingRider,

I too have been looking for  a BlueTooth Transmitter/Reciever that I could plug into the 5pin din on the Valk IS.

The link (above response) points to units that could be adapted to allow listening to the radio, but I'd like to be able to have full functional transmit and recieve ability. It would be nice to know that my CB could be used in the bluetooth helmet.

J&M used to make a setup that could work, but it was not well reviewed and has disappeared from thier website now. AND it was flippen expensive, over $600 with all the bits.

I am looking into building a unit, the component parts seem to be availible now. I'll let you know if I create somthing that works.

Good luck.

Is this the kind of thing you are looking for?

http://goldwingdocs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=162&hilit=bluetooth

Added a bluetooth head set hard wired into his GW. I know that head sets now can transfer audio also, besides just phone calls, so you should be able to hook up your bluetooth mp3 player to your ride.

My new bluetooth has an on/off switch, so to hardwire into power should be a concern. I bought some hardwired water proof USB plugs, I plan on adding onto my bike, and my head set charges via micro bluetooth.

Hi Gordon,

That is a very interesting thread, but not quite what I am looking to do.
That setup describes how to get a Bluetooth phone into a wired helmet intercom system.

I am wanting to get my Interstate audio system into my Bluetooth helmet (no wires to bike)
Ideally I'll be able to use my CB, listen to the Radio, chat with wired passenger etc..., just as if I were connected via the 5pin din plug.

So far I have only seen J&M make a very expensive solution to this setup.

Not sure if WingRider is looking to solve the same problem as me.

Thanks

Might the Sena SR10 be part of the solution?  I don't have a Honda CB/radio/intercom, so I'm not interested in doing the research, but here's a link to a Sena support board where a GoldWing interface is being discussed:
