In fact it's so naked it must be embarrassed. And parts everywhere as you can see in the pictures below. Has one rusted spot where it went through at the bottom of the frame. I cleaned it out with a cutting wheel on the die grinder, back to good metal and left a hole about 3/8" wide and about 2.5" long. I'll just weld a patch over it and grind it down. It's on the bottom so doesn't have to be real pretty. Next step is to have the frame and swingarm sand blasted...or whatever medium they use. I'll then be welding some brackets to mount a tank on top and relocate the electronics and overflow tank. Getting the swingarm off was a real PITA, the pivot pins did NOT want to move, but it came off finally. Every nut, bolt, and screw is rusted on the bike. It came from the coast and sat outside, the PO lived in an apartment so wasn't protected. There have been a few neighbors that asked if I was going to keep it or flip it. I just smile and say "yes."  Wink

Now the fun begins.  crazy2

The "Naked" truth, but it's in good company!  Smiley

Parts everywhere....some there!

Some over there.

More parts.

Still more parts.

So how's it going back together?  Cafe racer?, bobber?, restored classic?......I'm thinkin' cafe bike would be the ticket with that old wing.

At this point I have no idea. It will be a solo ride for sure, with different lights all around, hopefully a Valk tank up top, custom seat. Looking on the Naked Gold Wing site for ideas on how to use different forks, the OEM trees are UUUUGLY. I just know everything will be either new or rebuilt by the time it hits the street....probably about the time I hit my 80th b'day.  Grin

Judging by the parts and such he has purchased and played with we may be looking at a 4 cylinder version of his famous "Black Beauty" Valkyrie!!  Grin  Probably no Harley controls though...

I'll check to see if Superman is busy next week. Yes....I'm busy.  Grin Might be a little tight trying to get it ready by then, maybe by next year's Leesburg Bikefest.

I am gonna tell, motorcycle PORN  coolsmiley
At least it keeps you off the streets.
I am almost as bad, I have my single wheel trailer apart, not satisfied with the paint, so striping and repainting it, getting rid of all the little marks in the glass.
