I've rebuilt forks onboth bikes. There's a lot similar but I never measured the width between the forks. One issue might be calipers lining up. You'll just have to get 2 wheels together and measure stuff.

John if use the VTX forks why not follow through with the VTX wheel? Aren't the wheels similar in size? ???

Its the tripple tree that actually determines the amount of space between the forks.
