So, have we heard from everyone who wants to order urethane wheel dampers? Seems like we will get it done better if we can get it done quickly. Should we start a new thread with more of a "heads-up" title?

Let's get closer to a ship date, John.
A new thread up now will just sink to a month old if there isn't an action needed.
July 29 parts are supposed to be ready.

I need a set of dampers and four shock bushings please.
I bought shock bushings from you on ebay and mis-placed them, couldn't find them when I needed them.

I am new to the board but have a 98 valk (63000 miles) and need a set of dampers also, I hope it is not to late to order. I would hate have to give money to the Honda dealer for an inferior product. Can you let me know where to send the money?

Thanks

I'll take a damper and a set of bushings.  Seems like most are just replacing their top bushings; do the lowers not need it?

The lower shock bushings on Valks have a steel sleeve in them that slows the wear considerably.
I started out just selling bushings in pairs- 2 parts at a time. This way you could just replace the worn parts.
VTX's wear all four positions. They almost always buy 4 parts at a time.

To All: If you've sent me an e-mail, and I replied that I'd notify you when parts are ready, that's what will happen. If you put a reply here, I read it, but you won't get an e-mail. I'll just put a notice up in this thread that dampers are ready.
As Bartles and James used to say: Thanks for your support!

Dampers are promised to ship tomorrow, 8-6-9
I will accept your payment now.
I'd prefer certified funds, as Paypal takes a chunk of every sale.
PM me for an address.
Better still, just take it from http://www.rattlebars.com/cart/bushings.html this page
If you are outside the US, we will have to figure out the shipping charges. All sales in the US are $75 shipped per set.
I will date all orders and send in the order received.

Gary, I ordered two sets of dampeners and two sets of shock bushings. Would that be $180? Not thinking too good along the math lines.

For the benefit of all who expressed interest, the dampers are in.
They look real good, and can ship as soon as I receive your payment.
PM could be slow, so ping me at

and leave out the obvious

This thread is almost a year old... yikes.    But for those that ordered the dampers, and some order 2 sets???  how did that work out for you??  What is the life span for those dampers?

For those that ordered the dampers (and some order 2 sets), how did that work out for you??

I ordered two sets which are now both installed (with new darkside GTTs on each bike).  Both seem to be working perfectly, and I believe this is a lifetime upgrade..... or certainly longer than OE 25-30K.  Tight fit, no slop.

Interesting.... I was thinking and hoping that those that ordered two sets would be using them on two bikes.... hence my question on lifespan.

My e-mail address, which I edited in the earlier part of this thread, is
eckfam-at-clear-dot-net
The few sets of dampers I had are already gone, but I am going to make another batch. If you plan to BUY, a reply to me at the e-mail address above will put you on the mailing list for the finish date.
You don't need to tell me if you are "interested, but not committed", only if you plan to buy. Price is still $75 a set, and if you want shock bushings at the same time, the 2 for 1 deal goes.
Thanks to all for their encouragement and loyalty. I appreciate it.

I ordered my dampers and bushings from Gary and they will be on the way tomorrow. Now I need to get a new U-joint and some o-rings for the wheel and a new tire and I'll be all set.
