Has anyone come up with a practical means of carrying their golf bag on their Valk standard? I've got Leatherlyke bags and figure I should be able to fashion a carrier of some means using the bag support studs as the attachment points. Before I got too far into plowing new ground I thought I'd check and see if anyone has already figured this out. Thanks in advance for any ideas you may have.

I have seen the receiver hitch approach, but would rather avoid the need for a trailer hitch and the resultant blocking of brake/taillights and license plate issues that would create.

putting that much weight either high enough to clear the lights or on one side would seem to create weight/balance issues. guess you could play old school, carry a three pack of balls and a driver, wedge, 5.7.9

I had saved a pic, and finally found the link. Beastrider made a golf bag carrier while working in Singpore, replaced the bag on the right side of the bike. Here is his webpage: http://www.herberts.org/wayne/valk/valkmain.htmI may need to do that myself, but golf bags on both sides, for me and the wife. Then I could ride to work 5 days a week! Mike

My bag has an indent on the bottom that kept if from sliding off the peg, so I just stuck the bottom of the bag on the right passenger peg, and bungeed the top of the it to the backrest. I expect I tossed several other bungee cords around just to hold things better (I *can* fix the crack of dawn if I have enough bungee cords).
Haven't done it in a while...should have taken a picture.
The weight being on the one side is irrelevent. Can't even feel it.

Before I actually lived on a golf course like I do now, I lived about three miles away from it. This was about 30 yrs. ago, I was on my old Honda 750 with the clubs strapped to the golf hand cart, and the handle of the cart was strapped to the back of the bike. I was tooling merrily down the street and met a local sheriff's car, who promptly hit the lights and spun around to stop me. I was fortunate this time, he turned out to be a classmate of mine when I was going through flying ground school a few years prior. He walked up, gave me this incredulous look, then said "John, you know you can't......" but never finished the sentence, apparently so taken aback by what he saw. I was less than a half mile from the house so he threw the clubs in his squad car and followed me home. From then on I put them in the car, but it was such a nice day for a ride.

I got this to haul our stuff because I didn't want to tow a trailer. Waterproof, lockable, lockable to the bike, removes easily and has wheels to pull it along like a suitcse when it's off the bike. http://innovagolf.com/augobagcarca.htmlWe originally found out about this application when we met a bunch of Harley riders with them, touring the country.

Put on a trailer hitch from the manufacturer of your choice, get a small trailer to tow behind the bike, paint the trailer to match the bike, add chrome to rims, tongue, chains, light rims, top rack, etc. After a few hundred bucks you didn't really need, you have a great looking bike with a great looking trailer and more chrome. Once the old lady starts to complain, toss the clubs in the trailer, go golfing. Been there done that, works great and gives you something else to work on/play with.
