Okay... You all have been waiting for this.....

WILLOW IS HOME BOUND!!!

Lori and I have talked frequently and it has been determined that a group of us will meet at the hospital and will visit and try and calm the anxiousness of the thoughts of going home.  A couple of us are going to pick up a bed in the afternoon and will move it into the house.  Apparently Motomoma likes living like a queen and have some really fluffy bed that Willow is afraid of falling out of at night.  So he will have a bed that is much closer to the floor so he won't feel like he is parachuting out of a plane when he wakes up.

One of the major concerns is the stairs.  I will be installing a second hand rail in the staircase this sunday so he will be able to have a bit more stability when going up and down.  The concern is that he can't see the steps due to the neck brace so this should help his confidence and us guys will be there tomorrow to make sure he gets upstairs safe and sound.

I will hold back the surprise but we will have a distinguished guest coming on his valk to visit and I am sure Willow will be shocked to see this person.  I will post pictures tomorrow.

Please continue to pray for Willow and Motomoma and calm their emotions and fears.  As I told Motomoma last night she isn't sure she is prepared for Carl to come home but she didn't have time to prepare for the accident but they both made it this far and there are plenty of us close by to lend a hand of support and spend time with them to ease the pressure.  So just keep them in your prayers as they move into the second phase of the healing process.

Good job, Stude....on all you do for your fellow brother...from the extra handrail, to getting Carl's bike back in shape...and whatever else. You're a good man!

We know Carl and Lori are in good hands because of folks like you!  cooldude

Very brief but important Facebook update from Lori tonight:

Carl is at home and we are getting settled in and visiting with friends. So far, so good!

Ok... So I'm a bit late on this last update but as everyone knows Willow is home and back on the board.  I must say that he was ready to get out of there yesterday so bad that he was trying to kick us out but we were expecting someone at 2:30pm so we waited until they got here so...  As Willow was surprised here are the pics of who made it up here.

If you don't know who this guy is (on the right  Evil) that is Daniel Meyer out of Dallas, Tx.  He left at 6am and made it to the hospital in Kansas City by 2:30.

He brought with him some Texas goodies.

We have some manly pink ductape and a set of four horseshoes.

We have Daniel Meyer's original bell from his bike, since Willow lost the one on his Interstate.

And if that bell wasn't big enough or loud enough we have a .....  cow bell

And then to top it off Daniel brought up a personalized letter for Willow...

Which says:

So...   Willow was trying to kick out BigBuck, Gary Coaltrane (don't know his handle  Undecided ) and I to go get the bed and install the handrail cause he was wanting to make sure we were done by 5pm cause that was the time he was suppose to leave.  Well... we didn't quite meet that deadline but we did manage to get the bed setup and the handrail on the wall.  We waited to leave because we knew Daniel was going to show up around 2:30pm.  Willow was very surprised.  So we get Willow loaded up and we needed to get dinner so since Daniel drove so far we figured it would be fitting to provide him with some good KC BBQ.  ( no pictures were taken... phone dead) but we had the fixins and Willow will always remember his first meal out of the hospital.  His quote was "Man they didn't feed me anything like this when I was in the hospital."   Too funny...  Anyhow we get back to the house and we eat dinner and tell some stories and Daniel stayed with Motomoma and Willow last night.  So I'm guessing he made it home by now.  I am sure he enjoyed his first night back home in familiar territory.

I'm so glad you are home and resting well Willow.  If you or Lori need anything.... well.. you know I've said it a million times, we are here for you!

I should have taken a close-up of that tour bell...it's been on my bike since Alaska I think...over 100,000 miles.

It's squashed, ground down, bent, dinged up, and missing the clapper...but...it's a known good one! Definitely works! A known good one!

Also note...on the subject of bikers and bbq...I was on the Valk, following Joe, Lori, and Carl home from the hospital...and where do they go first?

The bbq place, of course!
