I did a search but couldnt find this info.

Question:

I have baffled Cobras w/ stock jets on a 99 Tourer
It seems like I am down in hp a little, as expected.
It has been asserted that all needs be done to restore some hp is install I/S springs and turn the pilots out 2 1/4 turns. re jetting not needed. I like this solution because it is within my skill set, while re jetting is not.

Is this a well regarded  assertion?

If so, what impact will adding a 6 degree trigger wheel have in combination with the above adjustments?

thanks and i apologize in advance for yet another variation on the perpetual cobra and carbs threads.

Setting the pilots to 2 1/4 turns [35 jets] is a common thing regardless of exhaust. The IS springs is another common change. As far as the advanced trigger is concerned, there is another long thread about below. It started a couple days ago. I don't happen to like the aftermarket triggers. But, if you want to advance the base timing, I would recommend using the original wheel and not go beyond 4º.

I don't think the springs change horsepower at all just the rate at which fuel is delivered to the combustion chamber.
