I rebuilt the riveted side of my fuel valve and it's dry as a bone. But now I can't find the vacuum hose that connects to the vacuum side of the fuel valve. The only hose I see that would be the right size is already connected to the fuel tank vent behind the fuel valve. I have the airbox/intake pulled and don't see any loose hoses. Can anyone please tell me what the other end of the petcock vacuum hose is attached to. The manual is no help.

Left rear cylinder is #6. Normally there is a vacuum line from the rear side of the intake tube on this cylinder to your fuel valve. It could actually come from any cylinder, but usually it is on #6.

Your carbs will get no fuel without that vacuum hose when running a stock petcock.

Thanks......I realized that when I went back out to the bike. The only vacuum hose I can find runs from the back of the #6 carb into a "t". One leg of the "t" is a vent tube that goes down through the frame and hangs loose. The other end I had attached to the small vent nipple at the rear for the fuel tank. Is that correct?

That "T" should not have anything attached to it. It's a vacuum break for the vent line. The hose that runs from the number 6 carb should go to the vacuum port on the petcock.

The line you have in your hand does not go to the petcock.. one end of it should run to the vent line on the fuel tank behind the petcock...... The line that runs to the petcock should be connected to the #6 intake..... left side furthest to the rear, under the carburetor.

He says the line in his hand runs to the number 6 carb. My assessment was that he connected the petcock vacuum line to the vent "T".

That is exactly what I did. I had the north end connected to the fuel tank vent. The west end connected to the #6 carb. The south end hung open. I am rerouting as follows. The west end of the "t" will remain open and the hose formerly attached here (from the #6 carb") will be attached to the vacuum line on the petcock.
Thanks again for l the help.
