In this wild and wolly world, there are only 3 things you can depend on, your brains, your bros, and your bike. Ride free!!!

Many have served in office for the DFW VRCC since it's inception. Personally, I have held 3 different offices and others have held as many. The role of vice-president is to help the president with meetings, perhaps plan and lead a ride or 2 and encourage participation with VRCC events, such as wrench parties. It truly does not take a lot of time to do it - only an effort to maintain the status as a riding club. I do encourage all who have never served to consider the challenge. New blood leads to new thinking and new ways of doing things. Old farts like me end up doing the same things over and over while newer members will find new and better ways. As always, the former officers of the club will support you in your duties. Obviously, if your handle can be shortened to VP, it will be an easier election. However, anyone willing to contribute their time and energies to the club will be welcomed. Looking forward to the meeting at Fuddrucker's Lame Duck RainMaker

A good meeting at Fuddrucker's. We had a special event as well - Woody (Christbiker) adopted a 1998 Burgundy and Cream tourer during the meeting as it was delivered to him during our dinner and he rode it home afterwards.
Had a ride report on the Bob Sandlin/Vaughn's Catfish ride, discussed upcoming rides to Inzane and the Texas Ride In and the Ride for Kids. Gary (Sidecar) gave a brief presentation on the Ride for Kids/Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Woody suggested a future wrench party at his place in Anna and Dave (ValkPilot) mentioned a possible ride to Greenwood for burgers in August.
The election for Vice President started with nominations. After discussions, Randy (BuzzKill) was elected to serve as Vice President for 2013-2014 and Dave (ValkPilot) became President.
Congratulations and thanks go to our new officers for the upcoming year. Thank you for accepting the responsibilities and the duties. I know you'll do great jobs.
