Staying in Eldora, IA tonight.. what a great looking little town!
It seriously looks like a Mayberry type of place with an awesome court house in the center of town. On the East side of town there's a campground on the river that has about 200 campers, campfires everywhere and live music.
We got here after sundown so I'll get some daylight photos before heading out tomorrow.
First stop for us tomorrow is Boone, IA where one of my cousins has a Little League state tourney baseball game.
Don't know where we'll go next or when we'll get home yet but probably tomorrow night.

We won't be leaving La Crosse until Sunday to head home.  I think we need a couple of days of down time, as it has been a very busy week! Smiley  Oh, and for those of you that were here and know how badly I was wanting to win the Mexico trip.....welllllllll....the couple that won it, gave it to Carl this morning to give to me as they were leaving, because they knew how bad I wanted it.  Isn't that awesome??????  I am so excited!!!  I just love the VRCC and the folks that are a part of it!  cooldude

Still not home.. but only because we keep getting distracted Smiley

In Iowa we got to watch my cousin's baseball team win and take one more step toward the little league world series (yeah, I have young kin... heck, my youngest 1st cousin is only 9 yrs old).
Then, after looking at the weather map (I'm not naming names but *cough, cough, Gene & Dawn, cough*) we decided to skip the storms and head to Lincoln, NE where Sunday morning we'll watch our nephew compete in the Nebraska state trap shooting tournament.

We will definitely be home tomorrow night, though.. I have to work Monday :/

Sounds like you are making the most of your vacation Rob! Glad you are having fun and enjoying your ride. Safe travels today!

Dawn and Gene finally made it home late last night, sounds like they were the Whistler replacements this year. We never go anywhere, especially InZane where we don't play in the rain and storms at least one whole day!

Fette's are home. Left Chillicothe this morning. Slight sprinkle when we left only lasted a few miles. Dry the rest of the way home. Good trip. Just shy of 1900 miles.

Consider us checked.

And you should also consider a wi-fi enabled thermostat for the house... it was nice to walk into a chilly living room after I cranked it down a few degrees when I was still 30 miles out Smiley

Willow and Motomama are home.  What a grand time!

More than one of the hotel employees was moved to tears by the departure of the last of the VRCC.  What a great bunch of people we have!

All three entries in the Thursday evening "Abs of Steel" contest were Kansas VRCCers.  The declared winner was the only on who showed externally strong abdominal press.

Great week!  Great people! Grand time!

Glad to have you home Carl and Lori! Sounds like our Kansas Group has again made it presence known! So do tell who won the Abs of Steel for those of us unfortunate souls who were unable to attend! Of course pictures and/or video is always accepted.

I was awarded the prize, but it was more for the show than the muscles themselves.  People were told afterwards that they'd missed a good opportunity to see a half naked man dancing in a neck brace.  Unfortunately the audience was taken too much by surprise to flash any photos.   Roll Eyes
