Thinking going green with black smoke on the I/S. Should I have the underside of the cover for the rear bags painted as well? Was blue/gray till the ole girl got smmmash up.

Those plates came from the factory painted satin black.
Save yourself a few bucks and buy a rattlecan of Rustoleum satin black.

I think he might mean the saddlebag lids... when I open the lid on my bike, it is red... I
wouldn't want it to be green or something...

I have a standard painted the VTX irradium green with some ghost flames. I really like it, but I don't think many do. Anyway, I was thinking of getting the Interstate painted and due to your question and the answer by Mike, I want to thank you all very much!! (Not) I would have painted the Interstate and taken the lid off a hundred times and would have never thought of the underside or would have never noticed it. Now, after this, I couldn't help but notice it. But then, the inside of the lid matches the inside of the bag, doesn't it? Yeah, the lazy way out.

Gary can you send me a couple pics? I have a couple pics of a bike that was really cool at the Donny Smith Show in Minneapolis last year.
