I need a new front tire on my Valk.  Want a DL E3 Radial.  I'm planning on going to Inzane, route will be roughly Nacogdoches, TX to Lubbock to Taos, NM and then backroads to Frisco.  Does anyone know of a decent shop located along this route where I could buy the tire and have it installed?  Called a couple of local Honda places and their quotes seemed pretty high.
Thanks.

Hey Allber,

I'm looking forward to meeting you at InZane, or somewhere along the way.  We are planning to spend the night in Taos Sunday the 19th.

If your route/schedule does or can take you through Big D, our local club sponsor is Al Lamb's Dallas Honda on eastbound LBJ just east of Greenville Ave.  You could call ahead, tell them you are VRCC, reserve a tire and discuss an appointment for in and out service.  They are open Monday - Saturday.

If your route/schedule prevents that option, here is the Honda Dealer Locator page you can search by city & state.  http://powersports.honda.com/dealers/search.aspx

If you choose to remove & replace the tire before you leave home, there are several online tire vendors who will ship to your door.

Dave, that's a very presidential response to his question.

Thanks very much Dave.  I shopped around online and found several tires but I don't have any kind of lift, or tools enough to dismount/mount a new tire.  I will call Lamb's Dallas Honda today and see what can be arranged.  I'm planning on leaving here (Hemphill) late Thursday evening and try to make a few miles while it's cooler.
I was figuring on being in the Taos area sometime Saturday or Sunday.  Want to see Creede, Lake City area, then on to Frisco.
Do you know of any good independent shops that do tire work?  I could have a new tire drop-shipped to them (if they don't sell them) and arrange an install date...
Thanks again.

Thank you, Chuck   Roll Eyes

Allber, if you call Al Lamb's, ask for Colby.  Check your message folder for my contact info for the trip.

Good advice on Al Lambs, BUT  they will also price match what u find on the internet! go to www.mawonline.com, find your tire, then call Colby and he will price match that tire.If Colby's not there, just talk to anyone in parts, they will help u.  Plus, make sure u let them know you're VRCC and you will get 10% off on labor too, just ask. This goes for anything u find on line.
I don't understand why VRCC members pay full price on stuff. Good luck,
