98 standard , left side pipes turning a yellowish color.would appreciate info on what to do to fix the problem.   THANKS

I don't know what happened to the original post and responses and assuming you are asking about stock pipes...

Riding with the enricheners engaged or allowing the bike to idle too long while sitting such as starting it up in the garage and not actually riding will cause this condition.  I've seen pipes also go from yellow to brown due to either of these practices.

Don't just start the bike and let it sit idling for extended periods.

I would check that the enricheners aren't sticking on the left side carbs.  You can check this by moving the choke lever and observing that the enricheners move in and out freely.

too rich causes those colors, too lean will cause the blue colors
