The king is dead.  Long live the king!

Dave Garb is the new president of the DFW VRCC.  Since Godfire didn't show up, he was elected VP (he had previously said he would accept if elected).

We voted to change the bylaws to eliminate the $20 membership fee that we don't collect anyway.  We also voted to change the terms of officers to 1 year from 2 years.

Congrats to the new officers and thanks for the support you've given to me and Speedo over the last 2 years.

History was made once again as the DFW VRCC welcomed David Garb as our fourth prez at our July '09 monthly meeting. Long time member Gary "SideCar" Touchstone, David Baron, First Lady Janet, and first timer, Dave Barnett and his fat lady show their support as the decisive moment is captured by world renown lens-man Jeff "Wanderer" Latimer.

Valk riders throughout North Texas are surely resting easy knowing that we are in such capable hands. Congratulations and much appreciation also go to Jim "GodFire" Hoffmaster for his dedication to his new role as VP.

Thanks to all that have had a hand in keeping alive the rolling momentum that pays homage to the Cruiser of the Decade in North Texas!

Did anyone check his birth certificate to see if he is a natural born citizen of these United States of America?  Shocked

Congrats DAVE!

President Garb's first official act was to order police to quell riots with any means necessary.  The rioting was instigated by outgoing president Clauder.  Garb's attempts failed, however, and he's still stuck with the job.

Thanks, Dag.

How was the European InZane?

I'll bet you can't wait for your long ride that starts in a week or so.  Oh, to be able to see Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Swiss alps, Venezia, the east coast of Italy, Greece, Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria and Czech Republic all in one ride.  Wow.

Kinda looks like you have been cheating on your Texas Brothers, Dag! Have you fixed the fork seal yet? The DFW group is having a wrench party tomorrow if you can make it.

Thanks for sharing the trip~ ~Jeff
