I have a set of Cobras that work well without a heel toe shifter.

I did have to adjust the shifter.

The Cobra boards have issues with poor chrome.

Rick @ Value accessories has a set of floorboards that hold up much better than the Cobras.

I don't remember what brand he said they were, give him a call and

tell him that you're looking for the ones that he has on his VALK.

i haven't answered THIS specific question ....in about 5-7 years! But i've answered it a bunch before...in years past!

I run Cobra floorboards....having got one of their FIRST sets back in July of 1997. The few sets they sold in the summer of 97', lots of folks were having problems shifting gears with the shifter...ie...getting clearance between the boards and the shifter peg. a few were able to move the shifter enough (it has TWO adjustments).....to be able to shift gears.

But us with bigger feet/boots....it was STILL an issue. i came up with the idea of the CBR1100 Blackbird shifter lever (with the help of my local Honda dealer). We tried MANY different shifters over a period of months. We settled on the Blackbird shift lever. it gave MAXIMUM clearance compared to all other shift levers, ESPECIALLY compared to the stock one! i still have that 1997 Blackbird shift lever on my Valk today!

And i still have my Cobra floorboards from July of 97 (the FIRST set they released with CHROME mounts....the few they released/sold before my set...had BLACK mounts). The chrome on mine....other than SLIGHT wear from my boots over 12 years and 100k miles...is holding up JUST FINE.

Oh, i STILL have to be careful what kind of boots i buy to wear on the Valk with those boards. I bought some Joe Rocket boots last year....forgetting to check on how thick the soles were. Shifting is kind of tight with those boots on....like i have to kind of CAREFULLY move my foot out from under the shifter with those thick soled boots on. My Harley boots have no problems fitting under the shifter.

Man, haven't told this "story" in some time Grin

I have a new to me Valk, and found a set of Corba floorboards, Not the hole set up, just the boards, so I will be watching this post to see how it works out. I would like to put a VTX brake peddle on if posible, and looking for ideas for the shifter. The one off the CB1100 sounds like a good idea. Now to just find one.

I bought a set of Cobra floorboards in 1998 for my Valkyrie they did'nt last 6 months before they had been grinded off up into the rubber. Big waste of money for me .
