Long ago...

I booked a room at the Peach Tree for the fall ride... as things are working out it does not appear I will be able to attend.

That means I will be releasing mys room today, Sunday 8/25...  I'd rather one of the VRCC riders got my room... as I believe rooms there are at a high occupancy rate.

Does someone need it?  How do we handle the transfer?

I did this last year.  You get someone who wants the room to put their credit card down on the room and that's about it.  Just call the Peach Tree and tell them what's going on just before the new party calls.

Okay cool!  It's been some time since I made the reservation... can't remember the details.

So any takers?  If not, I will have to release the room anyway...

To my Texas VRCC brethren...

Okay... It seems that I was suddenly barraged just today by folks interested in taking over my room reservation at the Peach Tree.

I want to apologize for ANY perceived disregard or cavalier actions on my part... but today was my very first day back at school and I am beat.  By noon, I knew I needed this item off my "to do" list.  I needed to move on... to concentrate on re-loading small arms and making sure my Kevlar combat armor was properly aligned and affixed while keeping my head down and out of the line of fire.

I called the Peach Tree today... explained my situation and they told me there was a long waiting list.

I released the room, which was a single king by the way, to the next VRCC member in line.  Some one you know got it... as to who, I have no clue.  That was the best I could do under the full assault, combat conditions public school teachers endure daily.

Sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings.  That was not my intent...

BTW: I have sold my Valkyrie to my very best friend who lives in Witchita, Kansas...  who is a VRCC member.  3 motorcycles was just too many for me and I never really intended to keep the Valk... I mostly bought it because I just could not stand to see it sitting outside under a plastic tarp.  It was an act of love.

On a happier note...

Doc Web's Hill country Halloween ride is the last weekend in October, we are hosting out of the Blanco Country Inn in Blanco, Texas... and benefits are donated to the Salvation Army of Kerrville.  It's free!  All are welcome.  Even day riders for you Cen-Tex guys... message me for details if you want to ride.

The Texas Horned Toads 2014 Spring Ride is the week of March 7th thru 15th 2014.  There is no current registration website or details but it appears that we may return to Las Cruces, NM for a second bout at the Big Chilli Inn.  (Last year was a complete hoot!) This ride is open to anyone... also free but left over money again goes to the SA in Kerrville.  Details will be forthcoming...
