I just ordered a Nuvi 750. I chose it because of the new lower price ($189) and the fact that it will allow multiple points on each stored trip. Evidently, this is a feature that not all GPS's have. I am interested in hearing from you guys that already own one of these and tell me what you think of it. I will have to buy a SD card to load these trips into and also for music. Any problems with this unit? I have Microsoft Streets and Trips. Can I load whatever route I havve set up in that program to this unit? Getting ready for a trip out west and would like to have all this done prior to that. Thanks for your assistance!

I am running it on the valk, with a ram mount. It is not perfect, buts works very well. Some of the maps are slighty off and they are the 2009 version. I have it mounted right over the center of the bars, and can see the signal/neutral lights over it. I can hear it a slow speeds on the tourer, I have not tried the headphones yet.
Get the garmin communicater
 http://www8.garmin.com/products/communicator/
You gan send points from Google or MSN maps directly to your device.

It is easy to see while riding.
The factory mount stays on while in the Ram mount, and it makes it slightly difficult to get the power cord in and out of the jack.

I can take some photos if you are interested. My bike is in pieces now, waiting for parts, hopefully the get here next week. I am ready for Inzane

I just tried to figure out if I could export from streets and trips to the Nuvi. If it can be done, I can not figure out how. I am running a older version of streets and trips 2006 version.

I would like to see your setup if at all possible. I have the 2008 Edition of Streets and Trips but I doubt if that would make any difference. I sure hope someone has an answer for this.

I HAVE THE SAME SET UP AS SHARKEY AND IT WORKS WELL FOR ME.  I HAVE TWO VALKS AND I JUST SNAP IT IN THE BIKE IM ON (OR CAR) AND GO DOWN THE ROAD.  I ESPECIALLY LIKE IT AT NIGHT FOR THE SPEED INFO WHEN THE EOM GUAGES ARE HARD TO READ.  SINCE THEY HAVE REDUCED THE PRICE I MAY HAVE TO GET A SECOND ONE!

Youll have to excuse the bike. I am waiting for a new keyset. I was having trouble getting my old key in and out of the ignition switch, I had a new one cut, and the sharp edges on the new key made the switch give up the ghost. All the springs and pins fell out 10 days before I leave for Inzane.

Here is my Mount from the seat

From the front

I have the power plug put on one of the windshield brackets for now, Im just too tight to pay big bucks for a stainless one tht mounts on the bars

Also here is a link for the manual if you want to read up on the unit.

You will like it.  We've had ours for about a year.  Other than dropping it off my DRZ at 60 (dont trust the suction cup in the windblast!!!, it has worked great.  (found it in three pieces, plugged the display back into the circuit board, snapped the cases together and it lit right up!
We use Mapquest to plot our route, then 'download to GPS device', and Wife has it on a Ram Mount on her ST1300.  She plugs it into the JM CB to hear the directions, and it plays her music also.
Cant beat it for the price.

i got two of the 750s...one for us...one for my daughter...for $169 from Walmart on their web site. BUT....i' have only been using them in my VEHICLES...not on my bikes....for a couple of reasons. One, is the unit is NOT waterproof. BUt i'm sure you can use it on the Valk...just be careful not to get it too wet........  I use the Quest 2 units i have on the bikes...and they are waterproof and made for use with bikes.

I use Mapsource to make my routes and transfer them. You can use Mapquest and Google maps too. Not sure about Streets and Trips? I did a search on FAQ on the Garmin Support page...and couldn't find any info where anyone has got that to work. So not sure if it will.........

I DO LOVE MY 750.....just don't use on the bikes personally.......

if you need any help using an SD card, loading up additional vehicle icons, MP3 files, making playlists, splash screens, etc.....drop me a note..........i can help. MOST of the above things are NOT covered in the limited owners manual that comes with it. I've spent hours researching "how to" on their web site to figure out ALL these cool capabliities. I have multiple playlists for music....made from Windows Media player....and routes from mapsource....etc....  It's a nice unit once you figure out all the bells and whistles .....no thanks to the poor owners manual that comes with it!
