It's official - I survived the H1 N1 virus!

Three weeks later, getting back to normal, almost. Interesting symptoms: I virtually lost the ability to breathe freely, and with any exertion at all, would end up panting for 10 minutes. An incessant, non-productive cough, had me holding my arms against my mid-section to try & reduce the accompanying pain with each cough. Then there was the week of fever of almost 103, and the exquisite body aches and headache that I didn't want to treat with pain relievers, because they are also fever reducers, and one needs the fever for fighting the infection. My DR put me on anti-biotics because of my previous bouts with pneumonia, just to prevent that complication, as we know they don't work for the flu.
All in all, it was an experience I don't need to repeat.

I had pneumonia at least 7 times over 10 years. Working outside in Minnesota in the winter sucks! Doc asked if I ever had the vaccine. Never heard of it before.. 15 minutes later and a small needle in the arm and I was done. Haven't had pneumonia since. And the lungs actually got a chance to heal properly.
