I d like to get the old, somewhat rusty headers to looking good again . So I m wondering if any one in the houston area has had success with a particular shop .Done the spray cans before on other ones but not much luck there ,of course there are newer products now.but maybe some one has a suggestion!
thanks

I used the high heat spray, but did it only to kickstand area. Only place I had a problem was kicking it off when putting kickstand down.

Right same here .the  ceramic (powder coating?) is better applied by experienced hands thus the search for a shop.
Thanks

ceramic coating, like jet hot, gets you the extra benefit of heat buffering.
I've used them before for car headers. Excellent results. http://www.jet-hot.com/  Takes about a week or so from the time you send them the headers.

Thanks for the direct feedback, Gary.  I've heard of Jet-Hot (and have a set of headers that need to be re-coated), but never knew of any friends' experience with them.

My only personal experience with ceramic coating on headers was with a local (DFW) company and I was almost completely unimpressed.

I ve used  a shop in Houston for powder coating frames ,they do mostly outdoor garden furniture. so no haven t called them ,I d rather use a speed shop type doing headers all the time.
Thanks Gary I ll call them manana. Wink
