 Due to the
popularity of the "Survivor" shows, Oklahoma is
 planning to do
 one entitled,
 "Survivor, Oklahoma
 Style."

 The contestants
will all start in Oklahoma City , then drive to
 Lawton ,

 Altus,
Weatherford, over to Elk City and up to Guymon.
 They will then
 proceed over to
Woodward, Enid , Ponca City , Bartlesville
 , and Tulsa

 From there they
will go on to Muskogee , Poteau, Broken Bow,
 Idabel,
McAlester and finally back
 to Oklahoma City .

 Each will be
driving a pink Volvo with bumper stickers that
 read:

 "I Love the
 Dixie
 Chicks,"

 "Boycott
 Beef,"

 "I Voted for
 Obama,"

 "George Strait
 Sucks,"

 "Hillary in
 2012" and

 "I'm here
 to confiscate your guns."

The first one to
make it back to Oklahoma City alive
wins.

There might be a "Survivor" because of the present shortage of ammunition, but they would still have to deal with pickups and truckers with a rather narrow mind.   angel

if they weren't shutting down the library around me, and kicking me out politely with soft go away music, I would dig up a youtube clip of Uneasy Rider 88 by Charlie Daniels and insert it here.
So until I get around to doing that, hum yourself....
Sounds about right with the current thread....

Along with the propensity of Sooners to elect folks like Jim Inhofe to public office, threads like this support my decision to leave Oklahoma when I graduated high school and never return.  Wink

If that is how you feel about "Sooners" then I'm glad you didn't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.   laugh

The feeling's pretty much mutual though I retain some fond memories of OU football and Bud Wilkinson. But since virtually all of my friends from high school got out of the state as soon as they were able, there was no reason to return. Oklahoma has suffered a brain drain of that sort for decades.
