Hey, Hager's wife here. We are hungry for a ride. I'm about 150lbs and I have a 40lb 5yo. Would love if a couple of you could take us out sometime after March. We live in Florence still. Wouldn't have to be long or special. Hager has us spoiled to the Valkyrie. Nothing else will do. Thanks. My new email I put on here. Misfit has my new number.
This is Josh. I live not far from you in Pueblo. I would be happy to swing through Florence to give you and your little one a ride. My phone number is 719-369-8979, and my email address is joshcornkid@gmail.com Please feel free to contact me to set up a date and a time. Maybe we could make it a Colorado Riders event one of these nice weekends that should be coming up?? Tom

"Baird, What's the black "surround" around the headlight on your Valk? Looks neat. How did you do it? Could I trouble you for a head-on pic? Thanks, Dan"
It's just "PLASTIDIP" Sprayed on the backside. I got tiard of trying to clean the back after riding in the rain. easy to do and reversable - Mike

Thought I had a fuel line crack, replaced fuel line and looked very close when I turned the fuel back on. I have a fuel rail leak, orings ordered from redeye. I am in four wheels instead of on two until fixed. I hope the rest of you are getting wind therapy.

I've been out a couple times, but a leaky fork and a front tire at the wear bars are making me hold the reigns in tighter than I'd like to. Plus the usual necessary maintenance. Its just above 50 and my bike comes out of storage today. Wish I had a garage or shed but at least she'll be home. BTW those o rings might have just been dry and may expand in a day. Try it again after it sits awhile, the leak may stop on its own.

Gentlemen,
Is anyone else getting excited for this riding season? My allergies are going crazy so it must be time to ride! I am booked to do some work in Montana at the end of April and plan on riding instead of flying. I have always wanted to ride the Big Sky Country!
I thought I saw that Seth is out of the deep freeze and has already taken a ride. That must mean he is just waiting for Monarch to open it's gates and let him pass.
Misfit - do you have any thoughts on a date for a get together/wrench party? (FYI - I will be out of town the first weekend in May.) Let me know if there is anything that I can do to help put that together.

I'll be ready when Damon is. I'm trying to save enough tread on my Avon to get over the pass! It looks like my head, bald in the middle. I've been gathering parts all winter, and he's got my double dark Bridgestone I had shipped over there last fall. I know Damon has GOTF coming up, maybe we can get together after he gets back in late April.

Might I then propose Saturday May 16th ??? for the next Meet/Wrench get together? How does that fit into everyone's schedule? Also, would this also be a good time to Honor Hagar and invite Terry and her son? (If so I can bet which Valk they will want to ride tkylli)

We are riding to Spearfish on Sunday, back on Friday. It's 443 miles for us, door to door, taking the slab to Hwy 26 in WY, so that's a long day ride. It's 423 miles staying completely off the slab (Hwy 85 much of the way). Frankly I prefer the blue highways. Like to ride as a small group. Who's riding at least one of those days? We can meet up wherever is good for all going, or a couple meet points. I'm good with leading the ride, am a considerate leader (speeds, steady speed, stops, refuel issues, etc), or OK to follow a considerate leader. (If I sound leary, I found out the hard way about the mistake of following a bad leader whose style I didn't know, on a 4,000 mile ride to Canada in 2010 - he almost killed us. Won't do that again.) Don't have a CB, do have a 2m FM radio left over from hang gliding, and Bluetooth via Zumo though cell phone coverage might be weak once off the slab. Also have doppler radar via XM/Sirius on my Zumo665 for weather avoidance, and Navtraffic to avoid traffic (at least in CO, they aren't everywhere).

Thanks for the welcomes and invites! I'll definitely stay in touch. I was working part time, wrenching on bikes at night, when a guy called and said he had a non running Valk. The owner didn't want it at the shop, so I picked it up and took it home and fixed it. I'm not a Honda guy, but I was damn impressed with the power and looks of the bike. The owner could not ride it any longer, due to medical issues, and was in no hurry to get it back. So..,. I rode it for a couple of month's before he put it up for sale. I ended up with it, I couldn't see that bike go to a perfect stranger! Now the Beemers up for sale!

Hi Wrangler. If you look up on this thread (stay on page 8 ) MarkT has an invite to lead a group to InZane. I (and I others) will be riding out with him. We may not be going directly through Denver, but I am sure we can figure something out. He will be heading out of Elizabeth, CO. (east of Castle Rock) Contact MarkT at valkstuff@horseapple.com to get times and places worked out. BTW - you want the best custom exhaust MarkT is your man. What part of Denver are you in? Once a month I work near Park Meadows for a week. We could meet up for dinner sometime if you live down that way. Looking forward to InZane and meeting you. TTFN

Josh, Thanks for the invite. I will email Mark and figure out what works best. I know he wants to stay off the slab and that's fine with me. I'm flexible as the routes concerned, maybe meet up in Parker or Cheyenne if Hwy. 85 the route. I live in S.E. Denver, Monaco and Leetsdale area, so Park Meadows is a short hop for me. Let me know what works for you, hopefully we'll be out of the monsoon!

Hi, Guys met a lot of you at misfits party two years ago! I like this site, good information on what is happening in Colorado. Live here in Cañon City, Was looking forward to Inzane in Spearfish, but the wife got diagnosed with cancer in January so I've been busy running a pawn shop and taking care of the wife. Any way I know this might be more for the classifieds, but I really don't want to have to ship out of Colorado. I've got a like new Factory windshield with all the mounting brackets nuts and bolts off my Tourer and a factory sissy bar with pad and a factory rack that mounts to it. If anyone here in Colorado needs these and will pick them up or meet me somewhere close I'll sell them to you cheap! I just don't need them. Call me at 719-275-8172 home or 719-784-1918 shop. Hope to meet with some of you guys again and go for a ride! Cliff

Zagnuts! I have tickets to the Rockies game Weds. Well can't say we didn't try. I'm hoping for a wrench party before InZane to upgrade my front shocks. I'm sure we will meet up sometime.
I have Valkyrie beer! It's a double IPA (pretty much undrinkable) but the empty can fits perfectly over your oil filter.
