Hello. As a new member, I recently thought I sent a post regarding a starting problem that may involve the coils. However, I see no indication that I was successful in sending that post. I am requesting some feedback that I am successful today. I intend to read more fully the instructions provided in this awesome, yet rather very exensive site. Yet, response would be appreciated now. Thanks. (Cappy)

Your post count shows 1, Cappy.

On what board did you think you'd posted the other item?

You were successful today. But what you want to do is go on the tech board and describe your problem. There is a pretty fair amount of knowledge over there. Good luck with your problem.

Good luck, about 25% of my posts don't show up for some reason. Usually it's a longer, well thought out, heartfelt post, that don't show up. So I never bother to type it again. Now if I have a tech issue, I will re-post, because as you said the tech forum and the generous help you get is the best.

I responded to a post about a possible coil issue, but can't remember who it was from. I'll assume it was from you as we don't get many posts like that. These monsters don't have coil problems. I remember my response being quite long with recommendations of what to check. Actually the correct to place such a post is on the tech board, I'm thinking that is where your post was, but, if its been much more than a couple minutes I'm not too sure about anything. Well, except for who should not be president.  Grin

Hey good buddy.

You are apparently doing what I did for awhile at 1st.

I'd type in the message and then instead of posting it, I pushed the BACK arrow and went on my way.  NO message as a result.     I've also hit the 'RED X' and went out fully.

When I do that I think to myself, yupper, I'll bet I should never have posted it in the 1st place. Evil cooldude Grin 2funny 2funny tickedoff coolsmiley

There are two buttons at the bottom as you are typing a new post.  They are labeled Preview and Post.  If you just take the default you'll get the preview.  To post you need to point your mouse at the Post key and click.  If there has been activity on the thread since you started the board will hold your post, warn you, allow you to modiufy your post and then click Post a second time.

If something goes wrong when you attempt to post you should be able to back arrow on your browser and all your typing should be there removing any need to retype.

25%?  I'd be almost suicidal at that rate.   Shocked

If losing long posts continues to be a problem, type it in notepad, then copy and paste it onto the forum.

I got in the habit when my 'puter decided it didn't like FB of typing stuff out in wordpad or a word processor. This also, if you're flamin' someone or trying to explain health care, gives you the opportunity to spell check and proof your post for stupid mistakes. I usually leave the not so stupid mistakes in.

Cheers!

Thank you!!! I found your replies, but am not sure if I am responding to one person or all who replied. At least I know I am on the forum. I will review all the responses shortly and reply to all those who were kind enough to contact me. Looks like I have to spend some time getting familiar with the technical aspects of this forum. Unfortuately, I am not the most savvy computer user. Thanks again to all who responded. (Cappy)

Cappy - some where around this site is an outstanding schematic diagram that one of the members re-drew from the engineering diagrams. Forgot where it is.If someone can steer us to it, I will bookmark it on my computer.

Thanks much,

It's a shallow learning curve, Cappy.

You'll be roaring 'round here like you do the Valk on the streets in no time.

Have fun!
