Wonder what Car Tire will fit?????

Pic's look decent on the website.....

Needs more chrome!

Six-Cylinder Hooligan

Too much plastic. Looks like bolting a windshield on it will be quite a challenge too... Think I'll keep my I/S awhile longer.

That has a lot more appeal than some of the other teaser photos I've seen lately. At least big red has started to listen.

It's a step in the right direction. I'll keep my old Valkyrie.
If you can't be a good example: be a WARNING!!

Does look okay, Tooooooo much plastic. Looks like a stripped Goldwing. Not the same appeal as our model....
Now this is getting interesting........

Airedale

There is a lot to digest on this new Valkyrie, there are a couple of minor issues for my own personal taste but I have to say Honda has made a pretty good effort from what I can see from the photos. It is clean and bare enough  for the custom folks to have some fun with. I bet she will go like the wind blows.

I wouldn't want the mufflers to be configured any differently... I wonder how much
stuff has to be removed to get the wheel off, though... hopefully it is somewhere
near as easy as a regular GoldWing...

It is not a Chrome motorcycle, but if the aftermarket people and Honda take to
it like they did the O-rigional, that's a motorcycle that could be fiddled with
a lot of different ways...

..

Only one year warranty!

Avaiable extended warranty.

Wonder if there's a center stand.  ???

..

Look at F6B images on Google and toggle between this new Valkyrie and the F6B.

This new "Valkyrie is simply a reduction in plastic.

Nothing really special.

I can't really tell from the pics, but I think that wrap-around-dashboard-fairing thing is
gone.... that's a great big flipping deal, I think... Unless you want a much less portly
motorcycle, like a st1300 maybe  , a "reduction in plastic" is the only
thing a Goldwing could need.

Hard to tell what that rear fender will be like from the pics, too... the structure
that hangs below the colored part of the fender where the license tag goes...
hmmm....

I am hopeful.  Doesn't mean I will own one, but I like it. Not made of money,  I still have a perfectly good one.  Hoser  :cooldude: :cooldude: :cooldude: :cooldude: :cooldude:

Less is more unless it's an ST1300 which is really disturbingly ugly nekkid.  :o

At 17k its a good price and I will wait to see one in person but I cannot see how you could mount saddle bags or windshield on that thing. Plenty of power though in a large frame at least that's right.

BUTT UGLY!!!!!!

You really think so?  It kind of plays with your mind, doesn't it?  They put the Valkyrie name on it, but your brain is thinking it's something else entirely.  I can remember when I spotted my first Valkyrie in 1997.  This doesn't have the same impact.  It's a different feeling all together.  This new Valkyrie is awesome!

so now I have to test ride both the f6 models at Americade

Woohoo

I think I get why the radiators are same place as current wings but woulda liked em where our
radiator goes anyways

Looks like a whole lot of fun but I will not want to ride a bike cross country without a windshield

It's freaky! I posted a message on this board a couple of weeks ago asking if there was any truth to this rumor and if the Valkyrie did come back would it look like something from Buck Rogers. :D

Not a bad start, needs bags and screen.  Defiantly more my style than the f6b.

Not liking that plastic/fiberglass headlight surround.  From the front it looks like a horse collar and from the side it looks like a x/cross helmet.

There's something about owning a motorcycle you feel comfortable fixing when it needs it, which with original Valks, being relatively simple compared to new wings, I am.

Not so much this one :-\

Looks like a Gold Wing to me.  BTW the last GOOD LOOKING Wing was a 1986.
dont write a check with your mouth,

that your ass cant cash

98pacecar

Looks to have a very limited pool of buyers.

I give it a 3 year run,,, max.

Then they'll be selling left overs for the next three or four.

A lot,,, like they did with the, Pacific Coast.

I like it.  I liked the F6B except for the full Gold Wing faring so this is better.  If I had to replace my Valkyrie, Id have one.  The damages are sure to be near 30K though.  Oh well its only money right?

I like the original Valkyrie, but I suppose you cant have progress and have the same looks.  To get that sealed rear end...lug nut wheel and the rigid aluminum frame, Ill gladly put up with more plastic........

Ill ride mine until these are put on clearance sale maybe the timing will be perfect.

I don't know, yours looks like it is nearly on its last legs...  :2funny:

I never thought I'd see the day.  I see options listed for a backrest, taller screen and bags.  Those extras would be a must for me.  When I can purchase a used one with 14,000 miles for $5,500 I may be tempted to jump!  Until then, my Silver Bullet will have to suffice.

It looks like a re-styled Rune.  :-\  I guess I'm too old school to get too hopped up for this Valk, altho I want to see bags and a shield, and a decent touring seat for the passenger. :cooldude:

I'm  going to take some time to warm up - I like the idea... about damn time Honda did something on this.  nit picks at first glance: needs beefier tires, needs a windshield, I don't like the look of the rear fender.  BUT, if it had decent looking bags and a backrest, I could see it working.  It's a different world than it was  n 1998.. I wonder how extensive the aftermarket parts market will develop around this one.

I definitely want to head down to the local shop an check one out in Spring.  I think the FB6 looks ok too... my biggest problem is the price with the FB6 and maybe it will be with the new Valk.  But I'm trying to keep an open mind.

I realize there's no way a brand new bike can compete with the prices of 15 year old bikes with 60,000 miles on it...

HA HA HA.  Well it has 140K on it.........By the time this new thing is on the clearance floor I may be over 200K......we shall see.......all in due time

olddog1946

Not sure I like the side mounted radiators as far as looks go, however they might be a boon for cold weather riding. I certainly think it could use a wider front tire, looks like a bicycle tire up there or something a Harley might run. Seat looks uncomfortable to me, but then I don't have a stock seat on my Valk.
All in all, I'd like to check it out. Once the after market goodies are out there, well, who knows??

needs beefier tires

I think the back is a 180 like our valkyries.

I think the front is a 130, we have 150s...

I haven't put many miles on any street bike except the Valkyrie, so I don't have any
personal experience, but...

If a bike has a "normalish" 130-150 front and a "gigantic" 240 rear, doesn't that make
it feel funny in the turns?

It is nice if tires look good, but I don't think of looks as their purpose...

I think Rocket riders have to buy new 240 Avons every 5 or 6 thousand miles  :o

Not a fan...  don't like the swoopie Arlen Ness look...
guess I like the look of that flat-6 dropped into a fat tanked,

That's what I thought too.

I was betting that Honda would screw it up...and they did IMHO.  I don't like it.  I was hoping for more of a traditionally styled bike.  I don't see how you could fit a fairing or a set of Mustang saddlebags to it.

I'm not a fan of all of the blacked out stuff.  I like chrome.   :cooldude:
