I haven't been paying too much attention to it since I already made MGM a Trike.

Does the new one have Reverse?

Yeah, I know, but I'm too damn old to dig for the answer.

Thanks.

Updated.

NO REVERSE, not even an option.

Well, MGM has a good home anyway, so no problem, he will stay in my stable.

My opinion on 6th gear is that our present Valkyries do not need one, although some WANT them.  Our power band is wide enough that splitting it again is not needed.

It will be LESS needed on the new VAlk, as it has more power.

Wonder what the gas milage will be?  With all kinds of riding including scorching the interstates with OSS, I average 33ish.  Do the extra 300 CCs consume more fuel?

No, the Fuel Injection uses less fuel even with more CCs..... maybe 10MPG better than carbureted Valk.  Of course, aerodynamics and wrist are also relevant.

Not a wing owner, but ....

I like it, but not as a replacement.
6th gear not needed, it would just add to the cost of a torque monster.
There are still some clean, low mile 1st generation Valks out there cheap, hard to beat.

Also, our Valks are still unique enough that I still get people asking me what it is & some can't beleave it's a '98.

With what I consider conservative riding, the Goldwing gets between 41-42 MPG, I can't see the new Valk getting any less, given the lighter weight.

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

It is NOT a Valkyrie outside of North America. Look at the following video .... F6C on side covers

That's what they should have went with in NA, the GoldWing f6c or GoldWing Sport instead of trying to pretend it's a Valkyrie as in GoldWing Valkyrie. The two don't go together...

Our Valks were called F6C when exported to Germany. Wagner's "Flight of the Valkyrie" was one of Hitler's favorite pieces of music, hence the name change there.
